Sounds like that could be it, think the guy I was talking to was called Chris, he's friendly with a fella who races a kit car I think. And the car went through few owners before I got it so prob all ties up.

I dont know what they are in spring rates i got springs by pounds (as in lb's)
if that makes sense?

Those are the spring rates, you can have them in metric kg/mm (K) or imperial lbs/in (lbs).

Ah right cool, okay so if I have a 500lb spring it works out at 226.79Kg roughly so is that just called a 22 spring? The spring rates I saw were just two numbers?
 
Bit of an update, bought a low mile 04 K20A2 and box. Split it all down there as I want to rebuild the bottom end of the engine with diff rods and pistons as well as new bearings and bits like that before start back racing. The engine looked real good inside, with no marks on bores and the standard parts all in good shape. Here's how it looks at the mo

Decided what pistons and rods your going with? I assume your going to be fitting some aftermarket cams also?

Yea have rods and pistons bought just waiting on getting them delivered.
I'm afraid I just don't have the money to upgrade the cams or any other head items at the mo. Will just check everything's alright with the parts that are there. I know they would make the most difference but what can you do!!

What compression pistons did you buy? If you build the bottom end to support aggressive cams atleast the option is there to fit cams further down the line.

Yea thats been my idea i guess, Bought 12.5:1 CP Pistons and bought set of Crower Rods. Suppose you could go more and go less, sorta didn't go too mad!
Need bit of reliability there too.
 
Well havent done a big pile of work to the car lately since i took engine and box out, just stripped the interior out as hoping to get the spraying tidied up inside

The bay hasnt really been touched since engine been out, need to give it a real good clean, remove PAS parts and grease rack, Need to fit new bushes to front LCA's and rack:
