I had my first back in 2000. They were as rare as rocking horse sh*t back then. I sold my pre facelift on about 50k miles for around £8k, that same car would now be worth £6k. So a depreciation of only £200 pre year !!!!!
The high price is a good thing IMO... Keeps the riff raff out!

Likewise, I agree it's a good thing. The price is high because they're such a special and indvidual car. They are part of a 'niche' market - on the most part they're owned by true and knowledgable enthusiasts.
The last thing I want is for them to start becoming common. I don't wanna see such a special car ruined by immature boy racer types, which I'm sure would start to happen should the price keep coming down..
