Okay guys im goin to be picking up some tyres in a bit. Im running Toyo T1R's at the moment. There a great tyre both in the wet and dry. They seem to wear away rather quickly though. I hear good things about the Yokohama Parada Spec 2. Can you lot gimme your opinion on each if you've had expierence with them. Not interested in any other type tbh...

Thanks:nice:

They're both rubbish. Get Potenza RE010. You need a stiff sidewall and neither of the tyres you've shortlisted offer this.

Alot of mixed reviews on PS2 tyre.
I'm using them now, they've been okay so far (less than 1k miles)
Can't comment in the wet as I don't hammer it in the wet.

Well imho toyo aint rubbish yeah there a bit soft but stick like glue...

mate has ps2 says v good in dry, but not great in wet.

Parada spec 2 rubbish??? You talking in wet because in dry you can't say that unless you never had run with them....
I believe Potenza's are better than parada but parada isn't rubbish.

I agree about the sidewall been to soft with the Toyo's, I didnt like the feel of the Toyo's at all when cornering way to much sway in the tyres due to there soft sidewalls. Id say go for the Potenza

PS2 is an all season tire that comes in sports sizes for people with aftermarket wheels, its a VERY old design while the Toyo is much newer, i would take the Toyo personally if i had to pick 1. But i would pick neither tire to be completely honest.

That is a fair opinion after all we are not talking about a chinese plastic tire to call them rubish... Just my way to think..

Toyo Proxies are Uber sticky! but they not suppose to last long, people use them in Formula Drift.
Toyo intentionaly made the sidewall soft so the Drifters can stretch them over rims with tires that are too small for them.

Maybe in USA? But Im sure the TOYO T1R was out before the PS2 in the UK. Or atleast it seemed that way.

perhaps your right, sometimes US gets things a bit late. If memory serves me right these are the years each tire came out in USA:

PS2 2001
Toyo T1-R 2005

Done an early trackday on the PS2's and they are very capable, on the road good in the dry average in the wet - slide if pushed but progressive, didnt think the sidewall was that soft tbh.

For the money yoko ps2's are good ,like said above there decent in the dry but do slide in the wet but are prgressive ,i think there better than toyo t1r's ,im running bridgestone re010's now and there awesome

Since owning the 9 i have used the RE01Rs and RE010s and i must say they were both awesome. Have recently purchased the PS2s, and, from the moment i first put them on, i noticed that the grip was less than the bridgestones.
However, now that they have had a week of use, i must say, the dry grip has improved loads, however in the rain, they are not that good and as Hiatch said, they slide, but progressively. Then again, the bridgestones weren't exactly the best wet tires either.
For money, they are good tyres dry tires. Different tires require different driving styles.

toyo t1r all the way! they hav a slightly harder compund than the toyo t1s but the grip is unreal wet and dry

Gonna stay with what I know and they've never let me down. T1R:)
