As for all ur comments about I'm not listening to help and advice it's bullshit cause I've not had any except ditch the kit etc. Just because I'm not doing what people tell me about MY car doesn't mean I'm not listening or understanding their POV.
Jimbo I totally agree with u mate and on my previous k20 project I did a shitload of research, I've done alot with this civic so far but there's areas I just would best left for my mechanic... When it comes to ECU and mapping I'll quite happily admit I dont have a clue. So I leave him to it. Alot of people in my area use j&n developments and he's had nothin but great feedback and prices, he's not let me down so far.
anyway, if your wanting to actually take advice on it, Crome Pro or ECtune will both be sufficient for what you need. I know its not a big name to put on a speclist like Motec but it will do the job, and at 400 supplied fitted and mapped you could save a shedload to put towards painting everything black.
How much for the aem series 2?
Thanks for that vtec that does help mate. Bit complicated but read it a few times lol.
From your post the hondata is A part that fits inside the the obd1 ECU. Is this obd1 ECU already part of the stock ECU or is it a seperate bought part? I'm assuming that the hondata has it's own mapping software, so you couldn't burn a Crome or ectune map onto the EPROM chip inside a hondata due to different make. Or have I picked this up wrong?
What is the main differences between hondata and Crome/ectune in terms of accuracy of data/performance/trouble shooting/reliability and re-mapping several times or more for new parts or just a new map to try different setups?
Greatly appreciated mate this is all new to me.
