Also decided to clean up the brake pad pins. I put them in the cholet of the die grinder and spun them up, and not really sure how it happened but managed to bend it OVER MY FINGER FFS it hurt hahaha

It should be straight like the one to the sided, it felt like my whole hand had broke hahahaha

anyways gave them a lick of paint

Im surprised it didn't break me finger at least, but not it like nothing has happened at all :D

I like this ALOT and i like how not only you do verything yourself but you go the right way about doing things, alot of people would of bolted the turbo on and left it at that, but your making sure everything is sorted before hand and upgrading brakes is an essential part :) well done and keep it up, cant wait to see more

:) cheers man! its comment like that that make putting a project thread up sort worth it , if you get me :)

But ye im not putting the turbo on untill everything is done right! also it makes everything soo much cheaper by doing stuff yourself. Think iv spent at most, 200 on all the turbo stuff soo far n got petty much everything!

Looking great man! DIY for the win! What 300mm discs have you used? and was there any trouble hooking the calipers up?

Yeah thats the best way! Ensuring everything is in good condition and up for the job, and yes doing the stuff your self is alot cheaper and makes you appreciate the car more :) im just learning to weld at the minute too so will be able to do alot more to my own car aswell :) built not bought! You gonna go roll cage? If so bolt in or weld in?

Ye defo you end up learning about your car more too

As for a roll cage, im not sure yet i would like one but cant afford yet properly, although i have got all the stuff to make a cage

Id go for weld in personally but then when selling time comes not everyone wants a cage and it not like you can remove it with weld in anways

Right got round to fitting my new RTA as my old ones are knackered. I used Energy suspension although this is nor my first choice it just happened id already got a set.

Also:
Eibach SPC camber arms front ant back
New track rod ends
Front drop links
Rear drop links
ITR anti roll bar
Super pro Front and rear poly bushes for anti roll bars

So ye, first i got the old arms off

Old bushes are nailed!

Managed cut the pin out with a stanley knife and burned the rest of the rubber out using a propane and butane mix

DSC_0224.jpg

While they were burning away i cleaned up the pin, used a hacksaw for removing most of the rubber, then cleaned it up with a wire brush on a die grinder

cleaned up the OEM shells and fitted the new bushings. Used all of the lube on the bushes and abit of extra as well i had in the workshop, made a little puller/press for get the bushes in

and both fitted :)

Also fitter my rear spc camber arms, gave them some copper grease first to there easy to adjust. I adjusted them so they were pretty much 2mm shorter then my OEM camber arms going to fully set the car up when every thing is on

Got everything fitted back on the car pretty easy too

Love all the work that's going into this man! Let us know how much of a change the rear ARB makes. Be interested in going that route myself :)
