Good day chaps, and ladies!
I was browsing the web and saw this forum dedicated to the CTR EK9. I don't own an EK9 but have always wanted one. Somehow when I moved to Japan I decided to buy a DC2 instead.
Been here for 3 years and loving it. Got the '99 spec DC2 Rx in 2005 and its still going strong. Done 115000km and the old soldier needs a new CV joint and a gearbox rebuild. Other than that, never had any problems larger than worn tyres.
I go exclusively to TYPE ONE garage in Tokyo for tuning and my local Honda dealer for maintenance.
I live in Kanagawa and at the weekends the touge winding roads of Hakone beckons me as I try it out with local street racers and blokes just doing the runs.
Please drop me a line for any information or goods you need from Nippon.
Here's my auto....
On the Izu Skyline toll road near the Hakone pass.
On Route 138 to Fuji Speedway. Yes, that is Mt. Fuji
The DC2 and A EK9 of a mate
Yours truly, being a complete poser. Initial D style
And finally here is a shot of a fantastic piece of civil engineering. The famous Loop Bridge in Izu Peninsula
