2 hours later.......

Nutter! Fair play man! Looks like the proper way to do things, might have to look into doing it this way myself!

Keep up the good work lad!

That's all for now...........

Steering rack I disassembled tonight and rebuilt so it's now running manual, just popped the radiator in for laughs

Assembly begins Thursday :nerv:

Can either do it by joining the lines to a T piece, running a small smount of fluid in a resevoir off this, although I saw this as not a TRUE manual rack as you're still pushing fluid about

Instead I stripped the rack and removed the seal from the rack shaft that seals the space between the inlet/return PS lines, this seal usually pushes the fluid back and forth through the pump loop

Without the seal you have more of a TRUE manual rack. made sure to relubricate everything accordingly when reassembling, just need to adjust the rack tension to honda specs as per manual, fit my new inner track rods and it's good to go back onto the subframe :nice:

if you remove the power steering pump do you need to put a manaul rack in? i think it is a stupid question lol

 your question has been answered below

Have always loved your car looks like its going to be a 1st class track attack ek9. Good luck. Looking forward to the end result :nice:

Cheers :)

obviously a manual rack would be more ideal, but think it should be good enough the way i've done it, manual ek9 racks are like hens teeth :wow:

Steven, talk to xtoplinex about tucking the coolant bottle. ;)

fancy doing mine?? lol i have the equipment to do it but just don't have the time to do it (can't take the car off the road as it's a 50 mile round trip to work and zero public transport here)

looks tidy for rattle cans, keep it up not far left by now surely

amazing work there Steven. You must have alot of patience. Looks very nice with the sprayed engine bay.

Cheers!

Haha yeah you need a fair bit of patience especially making up brake lines from scratch

Not long home, been up at the garage since about half 2, ****ing knackered :( But got loads done.....

Refitted all the front suspension as well as the driveshafts and new discs/pads. Everything stripped and cleaned before refitting, stripped the camber arms and regreased the adjustment bolts and sliding parts, ran the adjuster rings up and down the coilovers to clear the threads, new hub nuts/castle nuts fitted also. And of course the hubs have got new bearings as well as the arp studs. Reundersealed the inner arches too front and rear as there was a few patchy bits

Nicked the TRE boots when removing them, got new boots from Honda so still to strip and regrease these/fit the boots then refit to the car tommorow

Engine bay wise, Gear linkages refitted, sorted out the passenger side wiring into the bay etc, have ran all the wiring for the gauges with the engine loom etc
