Y56 GF-SiR

Cheers for the kind and motivating words guys, Progress has been slow due to being a student being away most of the year and having little money but I have been gathering up few parts :).

Here is my J's Racing Torque damper, took the car a little drive and it has made a difference!

Excuse the **** phone pics. DSLR is in Newcastle!

And I here's a few goodies I have gathered!

-OEM Honda B16a Clutch kit

-Miller's 5-40 fully synthetic
-HAMP Filter
-Lower Torque Mount
-Energy shifter bushes
-Honda MTF

These are all going to be installed within the next week, by dad's friends mechanic, So the car will be a lift which means I'll get it full undersealed making sure appropriate area's are well masked, Hate rash jobs!

Will keep this updated in the mean time anyway.

Cheers
Kris :)

Aha thanks man, I'll admit I'm pretty lucky with the cleanliness of it to be honest! And I'll keep the thread updated and quality parts coming don't worry!

So been busy the last few days, Have had the car at my dads mates garage on the lift which gave me plenty of time to get jobs done!

Went to install my clutch, It's for a bloody dseries, so ordering another clutch from Honda took an extra couple of days. But this gave me time to get it undersealed, cleaned etc...

EP3 is my mums which is up getting new clutch and the wheels refurbed!

Just got the car back there and the lightened flywheel has made such a good difference in response! Gearbox feels really good with the new clutch, oil and shifter bushes. Gear changes feel very "slick". Mechanic done a great job on the car.

So I'm even happier with the car now :nice:. Just need to get lowered since it doesn't have to be trailored again.

Your mum is sooooo coool.
Car looks proper nice

Lol cheers guys, it's partly that my dad misses his dc2 and still wants a Honda to use at times :nice:

Bit of an update..

Have just bought a Y56 EK9 bootlid, Meaning.

No mid-spoiler, no wiper and matches the tinted glass :nice:

Also have some Genuine Back Yard Special spoiler blocks which could look sweet with an ek9 spoiler. However, Might get a spoon spoiler and paint it yellow, Not sure yet. Bootlid is a start though. Although there will be no back lip going on, Love the cut up look at the rear.

Will also keep the SiR boot intact so I could revert back to the original look if I get bored.

Tbh the mid spoiler is what makes this car unique to me. But at least you're keeping the original if needs be!

I'm with BLITZ man! that mid spoiler really set it apart, but each to their own! :)

You could always fit the mid spoiler to the EK9 lid and lose the wiper :nice:

Awk I know what you guys are saying. But I want some sort of more aggressive spoiler on the car like a spoon or ek9 and IMO it just doesn't work with the mid spoiler. And as said the SiR will be staying the way it is so can just be bolted back on if/when I get bored lol.

Will keep this updated when I get more pics etc.. :nice:

The EK9 spoiler looks great with a mid spoiler :nice: but I get what you're saying

Well, Got my Y56 EK9 Bootlid, Didn't come in the condition I had expected, but I'll leave it at that. lol

So will be getting it painted in the next month, along with an EK9 spoiler I have just bought off VTEC Performance, and also getting the side skirts colour coded.

As much as I like the SiR look and that, I LOVE EK9 spoilers especially tilted, I know most people don't. lol So getting rid of the mid spoiler was a must for me the more I thought about it. Have some mega rare Back Yard Special spoiler blocks for the 9 spoiler I picked a while back knowing they'd be useful some day :nice:

Car will be esentially finished on the outside once I get these bits painted on stuck on! On the road for summer, fingers crossed. Need to have an insurance certificate to register the bloody thing.

But anyway, Here's a few current pics of it an my friend Boggs' on here EK.
