Y56 GF-SiR

Epic build m8 mint example I like that your keeping the sir look especially as I've never seen a sir in facelift and in yellow.

Progress has been slow, But turned 20 over the weekend there so I got a few parts off dunk on order and finally got rubbers for the headlights sorted and took off the front to check for damage and gave it a good polish and wax.

Not much exciting, Although got a spoon oil cap and rad cap off whiteman and rear tie bar and apexi safc2 (I like gadgets lol). Plan to get a yellow rocker done for it to tie in a bit of a spoon theme :p

2nd year of uni is upon so, the civic will be parked up as usual and probably by the time i get back at some point be full of parts ready to bolt on :nice

Anyway, here's some pics, Oh got the garage carpeted to stop damp in the winter months ahead!

This build is gonna be really amazing i reckon :D

How on earth can you afford all this cool stuff while at uni? :L

Would love a carpeted garage for doing work in like

Looks x100000000000 better with the oem rears :)

Really need get my finger out and get the carpet laid in my garage before the cold weather arrives.

Thanks man :). It's all $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ lol

Wow this car looks like new! how come theres no rust?
Love this project!

Aha, cheers. Well, lets just say I was for making sure my next was an unregistered japanese import to ensure as little rust as possible since my last UK EK.

Appreciate the faith :nice: But aye, little things like ride height sorted out etc... will make the car for me. And I have been saving for a Honda for quite a while. Makes it harder having the Lupo to run here at Uni aswell though!

The tail lights where an absolute must!! lol. And I love the carpeted garage, Makes you actually want to lay underneath your honda  lol.

Cheers man, and yeh the recaro was an attempt to keep an OEM+ sort of look, Interior looks better in real life, It's so dark in there it's hard to picture lol. I realized a clean base is the most important thing in a build!

So yeh, Im in newcastle at Uni and the EK is tucked up at home in N.I with a few parts laying ready to fit :D. Have to wait until Christmas though :(.

Some of this stuff was for my 20th b'day (Y) lol

-JIC Magic Carbon front upper strut
-BNIB Spoon Rear brace
-BNIB OEM Honda Aluminium gear knob
-Tegiwa LCA's, was after F7's but these seemed easier to get a hold and look the same and use the same Energy Suspension Bushes. Oh and there polished to match my rear tie bar :p.
-Top Fuel Intake with a new Top fuel filter
-Kevlar plug cover to match a yellow rocker when I get of a spare rocker.

Had the car for a blast on a private road before I came over to Uni again and my god. I love it, it feels so solid an un-rattley, was quite shocked being an EK with super hard coils. Oh the noise :O. Went past 180 kph, so has definately been de-restricted in Japan lol.

Sorry about no pics, thought I'd update the progress none the less.

Cheers
Kris

Beautiful Car Mate. Love the Colour. What wheels are those in the first few pictures?

Keeps the miles off it though :nice: lol

Indeed mate! And rust, it has covered about 30km's in the last 2.5 years.

Thanks man, appreciate it :). Pics don't do it much justice being on my driveway all the time and the height it's sitting but needs to be able to get on off a trailer. Oh and the wheels are racing hart cybers, ended up selling them with tyres for £240, Bit cheap when looking back, but needed the rega's.

Sexy car :) love the colour and the regas :nice:

Again cheers :) yehh, I know the rega's have been "done to the death" but I just couldn't pass these up in the condition they were in.

Would love your spoon goodies!! and the wheels...:wow:

Yehh the spoon exaust sounds mental, don't reckon there a need for a decat, was planning on doing a full spoon theme, but I'll just take it as it comes, want as gay as it sounds just a "street racer" functional style lol

Sorry about the lack of pics guys, but will be home again on december 17th so will get goodies bolted on then with some pics, My dad just bought my mum an ep3 there so might have to go compare for the cars for a bit of fun :drive: lol

Looks so nice sitting on those evo`s!

Cheers man :).

Well, I have been home for about a week and here's I have done some work under the bonnet:

-Cusco Catch Tank (Breather Hole drilled)
-2m's of braided hose
-5 little vacuum plugs, these things are great!
-Kevlar Plug cover, will tie in a spoon theme once I get a yellow rocker :nice:
-Top Fuel intake with a brandnew topfuel filter
-JIC Magic Carbon front strut brace

I also bypassed coolant flowing to the TB and flows straight to the IACV thanks to Tama and his diagram :nice:

Here's some pics, have done other work and have other parts one, but here's some for now :nerv:.

Excuse rear ride height, It's so it doesn't scrape in and out the garage!

Will get this updated again soon!
