I`ve been looking over and over the specs, and just can`t get over the weight!!!!!!! 1060 pre facelift??? 1090 facelift?? Before i did my swap to 18C, my car weighed 1070kg`s (that`s 2358lbs)!! Only thing that would justify some extra weight where the 15" rims off an EK4. Other than that it had (and still does) electrical package, a/c and PS. After the swap it gained 50 kg`s extra now weighing 1120kg`s (2469lbs)!!!! No sunroof, abs or airbags. hell even my steering wheel is a MOMO tuner!!!! :angry2::angry2::angry2:
And now i ask all EK9 owners: have you ever weighed you car? Does it meet factory standards in stock form? I read that rvm weighed his and found it somewhere near 2403lbs!!!! tell me you found them above 2425lbs!!!! PLEASE!!!

I weighed mine just befor my trackday earlier this month!
I had all the back striped out, No Air Con & Very little fuel:secret:
& it weighed 998kg:D

thats sweet! Mine must weigh very very similar. I stripped out my rear interior completely today. Ive also stripped my air con too.

Thats well light :nice:

1020kg here but its a usdm ej6, no air con/ps lots of other things too...

Stock EK9s weigh between 1040kgs - 1100kgs. I have the JDM original HONDA brochure pamplet from Japan.

The lightest you can go from factory is with these options removed;
-air con
-ABS
-SRS
-Recaros to stock SiR chairs
-and Maybe power steering(not too sure what it says)

Heaviest EK9 is the RX model with full options + electric side mirrors etc.

I weighed mine the other day

1100kg

Thats with

Air Con removed
Rear Totally stripped
Lightweight wheels
quarter of a tank

But i do still have the Recaros and a Rollcage

That means it was heavier than that originally i guess.

yeah i would say so...I dont know how accurate the book weight is, thats all :)

The cage is only about 20kg

the weight honda gives about the ek9s have in mind that is without oil ,fuel and water complete dry so if your car weights more than 1090kg its normal.

I have an ej9 (1.4) and it weighed 1020kg with half tank of petrol and full interior etc, nothing was taken out. I was impressed thought it would have been much heavier tbh. It's a top spec model with sunroof, electrical everything etc...apart from aircon.

My EG with b18 weighed in at 990Kgs. That is with full trim and minimal fuel. Since then has been on a major diet, should be down in the low 900's. Just need to put the perspex windows in, then i will weigh it again and report back.

Scrap yard

Gonna be pretty accurate, especially as they pay out by the Kilo

the most basic thing you have to bear in mind is that there is a specific iso under which weigh measurements take place. If we ignore that we can't jump to conclusions.

Had mine weighed at 1030kg, thats with a full interior, almost full tank of fuel too, only weight saving items really are....

-Recaro lightweight fixed bucket seat on drivers side
-AC removed
-Spare wheel and tools removed
-Fujitsubo manifold and spoon N1 cat back exhaust (exhaust system is FAR lighter than OEM)
-My coilovers are a bit lighter than standard suspension too, lol

That was weighed with corner weighting equipment too :)
