Remo, it wasn't directed at you, it was direct at E-EK4 for having a hissy fit.
i think we should also start telling people to use the search button.
I think under the "New Users" section of the forum there should be some kind of guide line for newbie's to follow. Perhaps a explanation of the search feature and how to use it effectively while stating clearly to use it before posting a question thread.
@Blinx maybe you could look into this if you think its a worth while idea...
If the admins give a go-ahead on this I don't mind putting a little something together...
ive always used the search button here..when i cant find what im looking for thats the time i start to ask questions...
good move you guys..
oh yeah, can i suggest, can we put a chat box here? but with strict rules "no selling of any kind"
because i have read somewhere here that, that it is the main reason why it has been removed.
my idea is by putting a chat box new people would not make a thread directly if their questions are very simple or nooby question(i know i had some),by having a chat box they can ask directly to the people present at that time in the chat box..then if the mods would think that the question is a big topic or it would lead to a very nice discussion that would help some in the near future, then the mods would advice the person who questioned the question to make a thread about it instead..
get some more mods to clear up and stop spam
Seriously thinking about this.
Seriously thinking about this.
gonna talk to rvm about some things, maybe we can have an open enrollment?
Mate, please don't get confused. The comment above was in relation to another user who posted in your thread. I would've thought that was glaringly obvious if you go back and read through it.
Nobody is gonna have a problem with people asking genuine questions, that's what this place is for!! It's those with bad attitudes, fraudulent intentions and those that just ask without looking (searching) first, thereby making this place more cluttered and less of a nice place to be that this thread relates to.
I'd like to put my name forward for this! I have been a moderator and still am on southwestcivics.co.uk. It would be an honour to contribute to ek9.org and i'd take the role very seriously.
