Slips + EK9 = yass

Good choice mate, oh and they are way lighter!

what happened to the parts on the ek4, did you transfer some of it, or just sell all the parts

nice updates man, love slipstreams, i really miss mine!! Be sure your suspention is hard for your lower brace, i have a H-brace which i dont think hangs as low as that will and i catch it all the time, im not that low at all, but when travelling at speed and darting into corners, reaching the bottom of a hill where it straightens out i catch my H-brace all the time, its a reet mess :(, i need some new suspention as my SS's are just too soft!

Keep it coming! when you off to the ring :D

You need my B16B nudge nudge wink wink

Thanks mate, some big updates coming soon....

Yeah the H brace thing is why i bought this cheapy from ebay.... Guess what i knock it all the time so i'm taking mine off. My suspension is pretty stiff but it still bashes the floor and especially speed bumps!

Been to the ring for 12days in august and just had another weekend there. We're doing 12days in april next year.

Fancy coming with us?

Small update

AT THE NURBURGRING

The car handled superbly, took a while to rebuild my confidence after snetterton but the setup was awesom.

Suspension allignment

Front

2.5 deg negative camber

0 deg toe

tyre pressure 32 psi cold

Rear

1.2 deg negative camber

0.1 deg toe in

tyre pressure 32 psi cold

LSD on track very important! My car would not understeer at all which was great! I was really suprised how well the standard diff performs you just can not appreciate what it does for you on the road!

R888's on track league of there own, they really change there characteristic! So pleased with these won't be using them so much on the road anymore such a waste of a great track tyre!

B18C a little disspapointed really it still lacks the power and torque in some sections so i'm going to be focusing my attention on improving this for future. The extra revs where nice compared the B16A2 i had last year.

Suspension i still feel is a bit soft even on hardest but it is still a road car and on the road it can be harsh.

Rota slips big improvement over stock the extra width from the offset really reduces roll made the car feel much nicer to drive and alot more stable only gripe is the scrubbing on some corners arround the ring but not enough for me to worry about! It never does it on the road!

Brakes superb the yellows like the R888's come to life when they are at correct operating temperature. I was still able to lock up semi slicks on track with the standard set up just with yellows added. Still i'm going to improve this with some (hopefully) Spoon calipers, braided lines and yellow rears.

Seats are no longer supporting enough arround a track so fixed buckets are required along with reduction of weight and some more power before we go back in April!

Thank you mate.

There are photographers located arround the circuit mate.

didn't even realise you had this thread up, didn't read through it all coz i am lazy.

but how fast is your build! i still remember when you were considering B16 or B18.....

very nice non the less, makes me wanna come back to an EK...

Once you sort out the oil consumption, look at doing something with the ECU

When i put the standard ECU back in mot time it was soooooooooooooo boring comapred to the spoon one!

Cracking car though, fixie seat makes a massive difference, you will like it alot!!!

I'm leaving the oil consumption, we can't find a problem and the more i dig into it the more i find out about these engines. Some just smoke and use oil changing rings, stem seals, guides etc etc doesn't change it so unless the consumption gets worse or she goes bang i'll leave it. Hell Dunsy's is a whole lot worse than mine

I have a little suprise for you guys thats not ECU related first. Will be trying a Spoon ECU out and i'm going to get them both Dyno'd to see if they actually improve.

I can't wait for my fixed buckets.....

Nice build, you've done alot of work in the short time you've owned it. The bay looks awesome :nice:

Very nice work mate, your engine bay looks amazing!:) some lovely mods and brilliant pics. I so wana go to the ring some time! :) I got the same BC camber kit as you and they do seem very solid, the guy who set the camber up for me said they looked very good also but we will see! :)

Awesome, Love your car / how you use it! sounds like an awesome trip to the ring, i mite have to pinch your Geo set up as mine wasnt quite as negative at the front as yours is and i was getting a very slight bit of understeer! i would love your B16B but my bank really really wouldnt haha
