What cams do you think are best for this engine guys (b18c) ? I know its the toda b's for the b16b. But what about this engine ? Has anyone done any research ?

Cheers

Skunk2 Stage 2 Pro series algo gives good results :)

It just depends on what you are using your car for?

There is no such thing as the best cam, there are a lot of great cams out there these days, you just have to pic one that works for your setup/budget/powergoals.

:nice: Best advice on the thread! Dyno-proving/testing different cams on your setups is the way forward, definitely :nice: rep'd

remember if you go with stage 2 or upwards keep enough in your budget for aftermarket springs and retainers as well probably best to get cam+springs and retainers as a package would get better deal in my opinion

what's the concensus on using aftermarket cams (up to stage 2, fully tuned on remappaple ecu) with standard valve train if you were to keep to the stock rev limit?

couldnt have said it better :nice:

and the best in combination with a spoon ecu for the b16b? link or something like that? :)

I have much time in winter... the car will rest for 4 month... a lot of time to work on it ;)

Stock cams then.

1) If you want to go bigger cams on a B16B, get a better ecu to start.

2) If you're already B18C, use a B18C ecu.

3) If you want cams for your B18C, go back to number 1.

I heard B18cR engine the most suitable cam is Jun Type 3 compared to Skunk2 pro 3..any idea on that

It all comes down to what you want your car to do. both are big cams and need a lot of upgrades to get them working.

did you actually read the thread? there is no such thing as the most suitable cam for an engine!!!

Well, there is no answer for question "what cams are the best" since it depends on many factors...
