hi guys im from cl

i am looking to buy ek9 rear seats for my ej9 so if anyone thats knows anyone that knows anyone that are sellin any please let me know

btw i live in london if that helps and my civic is a prefacelift '98'

please do let me know either with a pm or jus on this thread

also pictures would be great

please note!!!

the ek9 rear seat set-up differs to UK spec :secret:

i recently tryed to put jdm dc2 rears into my 2000 ek4 and the "pivot point"
in middle was different! (outer pivots different too)
i checked with my friends 97 ek9 and his was exact same set-up as jdm dc2

so all in all if you want different rears go for UK DC2 rear seats :)

bottom half of ek9 seats will fit ok thou!

just my past experience :nice:

contact flybikeslee, he fitted DC2 rears in his EK4, did a pretty good thread on how to do it, I think he ended up using the material from the DC2 seats from either the top or bottom half (i forget) and fitted it over his original EK4 top/bottom half.....one bit fits fine though, I thought it was the top!

Didn't realise EK9 was the same though, thought that would fit perfectly?!

he must have had UK dc2 seats,i searched internet as was confused to
hell why mine where different....ebay came to the rescue:p

seen a set on the bay from jap dc2 and where same fitment as my jap set:((

far too much work to mod them but it could be done!

Oh right.....it's strange isn't it how things like rear seats are different?! Doesn't seem worth the effort Honda bothering to change them :lol:

But cheers for the heads up, I'll bear that in mind in the future! :)
 
So whats the verdict? Does JDM EK9 seats fit UKDM civic or not? I know on my USDM rear seat the pivot point is different than USDM DC2, USDM DC2 has to 1 male and 1 female joint to join the two back halves while my USDM civic hatch has to female joints that get mounted to a central pivot point thats attached to the car.
 
well my friends 97 ek9 rears deffo aint fit my 2000 ek4 (ukdm) :)

my swivel point in centre has "swinging bracket" that bolts to
one half of the seat
ek9 has swivel point with "male" fitting either side coming of it
that goes into "female" seat halfs!
i have pics if anybody really needs them :secret:

I dont think this is off the topic at all mate, if you read the above posts you'll see that EK9 seats wont 'fit straight into an uk civic'

So maybe there's somethin to be learned here, eh?
 
We have some EK9 rear seats

£160 delivered

Now they are NOT a straight swap, however it is very simple

The bottom half fits perfect, the top half you need to swap the material over onto the UK frame. Take about 1 hour for both uprights

Me an my brother have recently done it on his EK3

they dont fit straight in, botto bench is straight fit into any ek, back sections cloth has to be removed and put over you original ek seats (very easy as about 20-30 metal rings that hold it on, you could just reuse yours or just buy few from any half decent upholstery place)

id sell mine but collection only (manchester), backs would come with metal clips removed

ill only post if you arrange courier yourself

excellent condition, no rips, stains, fading etc at all, rear of car tinted to stop fading and car has spent loads of time stripped so stored away anyway most of the time

im in manchester, will also be selling front ek9 recaros with ek9 rails within couple weeks

we aint going off topic thats the point :secret:

they dont fit straight into uk civics!!
buy them if you want,just trying to help as i researched this in great
detail recently :)

oops! just seen the past posts saying what i was explaining!!
