Personally if you are going to spend that sort of money, I would go large on everything, otherwise you may as well just buy the Spoon kit? Larger disc is a must, you can stay fixed to keep the cost down if you want, as its often the bits that mount the bells etc to rotors that can add up on an already expensive kit.
Are you going to get enough for a group buy to bring down your costs - unlikely! So look after number 1.
As for pad choice, its a case of what you need, if the caliper is good the pad doesnt have to be as extreme - for us average people (not racing drivers!). I will start with a DS2500 in my Brembos & see how I get on, I reckon they will be plenty
The other main problem could be your alloy choice?
I know what you are saying mate but the spoon Kit is around the same price & you only get calipers!
The kit they are drawing up for me is to fit behind the stock wheel as that is what i run on my 9! In the future i will prob change my wheel's but i just ant got the £££ at the mo for both!!
The thing for me is that @ the mo i am running on OEM discs & some cheep local motor factor pad's so i need to replace both disc & pad's!
I just dont see the point in spending £500 + on replacing them when i can spend a little extra & get a proper setup!
I dont think i will get enough intrest in a group buy to bring down costs, but i am looking after my self as i am getting my kit for £700 as it is my car that they are doing the test fit's on & using my part's to design the kit!
I just want to be sure i have a good setup for the track so i can make the most of my track day's!
