Hi all,
I've been using ds3000 for about 3000 kms. Braking was unbelievable even with cold pads. Outperformed nearly everybody on track. But they are gone. I've been reading a very long list in a few threads about track pads. But I'm not sure which of those last long enough for street use with occasional tracking, but very hard tracking. DS3000 is not really for street and I knew that, but didn't think it would last 3k only. Two 20min sessions ate about half the pads, other half is gone on street. What would you suggest? Or should I go with a fast road pads, and get a track pad for trackdays? Changing them out is not a big deal, but I'm worried if they would last only 1-2 trackdays. It's not good for that money.

Used EBC Yellows on track, would have got something more rated, but was in a rush before a track day coming up, Bedded them in by a few 100-0's before track, and on the day it was warm, x3 25min sessions, great bite and got better as they got hotter with zero fade, I thought they were on fire the amount of smoke there was and there no longer yellow but burnt black lol. But the thing that let me down was the brake fluid, boiled it once. For Value/Performance/availability I would rate them highly. I'm sure there are better pads but these worked great for me, the track included several hard brakes from 110mph+ to get an idea.

I see quite a few people that used to sport DS2500/3000 pads are now moving to Carbotech XP10/12 and are hysterical about them, they last forever and never give up.
Used the Yellowstuffs myself, and they were horrible. Mind you, this was a few years back and I think they may have done something about their compound and quality control.
