Mr SPOON advises replacing the stock pads for track work.

Any suggestions guys?

These would also be used everyday on the street, so would also need to work good while cold.

i put Mintex Xtreme on mine the other day and seriously impressed with them...

Ahh Mintex.

Used them on my Starlet...will look into those.

Should be more of a resonable price than the JDM pads..

Does Hawk brake pads available for you ???

They are really good and the price is really competitive too...

I use Endless CCX pads front and rear, they are AMAZING, zero fade and they just get better and better ther more heat you get into them.

i've had them so hot before that when you press the brake it feels like you are going to stop on the spot and you have to brace yourself on the steering wheel to stop sliding forwards on the seat  :)

Im running Endless SSY, find them amazing also! Will be sticking with them from now on!

Im using axxis ult got em of baz ctr on here once bedded theyre seriously good and now im running em with stoptech discs real big improvment.

i run dixel type Z pads on FCR discs, good bite from cold and never overheat!!

have bnib set of hawk ceramics for sale if you decide to go for hawk, road pad though and ok for just occasional novice track use (nice improvment over oem in terms of being able to withstand higher temp)

overall youll find big list of pads peope recommend so down to you to research and choose

don`t overlook your fluid this makes as much difference as anything in my opinion,
I use AP formula dot 5.1 fluid works a treat

Yeah, will do a fluid change too.

Good point.

I read something about 5.1 not being the best for the road..not sure exactly what it was. Will try and find out, because I am not changing back and forth :D

Pagid if you can afford it - best pads in the world. Work from cold and NEVER fade.

Nuff said.

I use EBC yellows and MOTUL 5.1, works fine when cold and never overheated even on a summer track-day.

I used endless ccx and hawk hp plus and hps. They work very well.

I used hawp hp plus on the front and hawk HPS on the rear.

Something I did not take into account when asking for recommendations...BRAKE DUST!

Which pads are great for street and provide a little extra punch for track but don't produce much dust?

Black dust+white rims dont mix :D

Sorry dude - track work + brake pads = dust

Most medium to high spec pads (if not all) are really dusty. After a day's use at the track with Pagid pads my wheels are almost black instead of gold :(
