Recieved this tonight. Ill get some day time pics up on the weekend and get cracking

Started work cleaning up the replacement block, couldnt put the head on as the bloody gaskets still havent arrived! but ive got the block clean and ready for painting. Soon as my seals arrive ill whip the oil pump of and check the clearances.

Bores are in very good nick on the replacement block, sump looks spotless as well (will be for sale as i have a baffled sump with oil temp sender).

My mate dave put most of the hard work in as i fit his spoon dampers the day before.

Read for painting.

I am big and strong lol! Kinder.

Goner order impact gun tomoz and sat plans are. Inspect oil pump and fit new seal, fit new crankshaft end seal. Fit baffled sump. Basically get bottom end ready. Then strip the head and fit new stem seals. Depending on weather

Well weather pretty much ruined my entire weekend plans. I swapped the baffled sump and standard sump over and cleaned out my baffled sump.

Also i still cant undo the bloody crank pulley!!! used a 450nm 240v impact gun i have and it didnt budge. Goner fit the flywheel and lock it in place and have ago again.

But 0 degrees weather and a layer of snow has halted my work :(

Wow another amazing car sold buy the greatest importer in the world :/

Ye its been a **** christmas. Cars set me back like 6500 so far and costs are rising. Duncans helping me out which is better than nothing.

I havent been able to enjoy the car properly yet, weathers slowing me down. Ill be working on the engine tommorow even though its -1 out. want to get a few things done to tick of the list as its getting me down lol

Sorry I'm having a allergic reaction to bulls**ters. I be at jap fest so we will talk then. I'm not going to speak to u any more on here.

Good luck with the build pal looks like you need it? I'm guessing it was using oil before it spun a bearing. If I was you I would get another engine, as its never the same again after opening internals ect, and you could be spending a lot of money for a oil burner.

Ye ive got a replacement bottom end. Car never smoked at all but i am fitting new valve stem seals. Just with the snow etc its **** working outside.

Spent the last 2 hours fitting new discs and pads for my mate on his fn2 has he has a mot this week in the snow. Extreme mechanics lol

Haha I've just done a b18c swop not snow but minus degrees my face and lips have dryed out were it was so cold at on point I felt like sitting in the corner and crying as nothing was going right and I was so cold I couldn't think straight lol

Changed engine mounts in the snow yesterday. My neibours think I'm insane now lol

Haha engine swaps are never fun at the best of times. I removed the windage tray and checked the crank girdle etc visually and all looks good. Sump was clear no fragments or shavings.

I then fit a new crankshaft end seal and bonded the seal back on.

Im pissed off as i broke the capillary tube to my omori meter oil temp guage!! So now im thinking of selling up my mechanical guage setup and replacing them with electrical items.

I know there are ways to repair mechanicla guage capilary tubes. But its a pain in the ass

Quick update. Picked up these washers and bolts for the engine bay. Didnt pay anything like tegiwa want!

Let me know what your shift feels like with that oil.
My diff clunks a Good'en when the oils warmed up. So will be looking to replace the oil with something else when change time comes

Will do, this is the stuff steven recommended me. Its ment to be very good for mt fitted with plate lsd. Mine only clunked bad when cold. But the previous oil was still golden when i dropped it out so it was fresh.

I left the gearoil in a bucket under the car as the weather turned bad and it snowed. Guess what, a bloody fox crept up my garden ( found the tracks in the snow) and knocked over the bucket. Probably drunk some used hear oild, poor bastard.

I spent 2 hours washing my driveway lol!!
