OEM airbox versus J's racing

Its not going to kick as hard as its pipe and filter have a larger diameter than the standard O.E.M but i-vtec change over???

Going to take a vid next time i drive through spain. :drive:

Vtec shouldnt be a hard/violent kick in anyway. Should be smooth and the only thing you notice about the crossover is the noise. A good remap smooths it out :)

I agree totally..... crossover sounds aswome BTW in high 3rd & 4th you can scare those old people with their S500 going 80kmph on the highway jeje

I went from J's to 3" CAI under the bumper, then back to J's. J's definately better from my experience.

i ordered my j's two weeks ago and just found out i have another week to wait :(( cant wait to hear this thing!

i'm waiting for mine too !:nerv:
definately j's makes the best intake for s2000 !
so maybe it's kind the same for b spec engines too !:nice:

How do you guys reckon it compares to an OEM ITR box or BMC?

This is on my next list......

If you like induction noise, go for the J's...

As for performance, I think the comments in this topic are more than enough of a recommendation

with the J's there is still the problem with heat soak unless boxed in as shown above.

What would be the difference in making up some 3 inch hard pipe to the filter?

I think this is what im going to do, keep my DC2 box with hard pipe to the throttle bodie.

sorry if i copy paste the pictures from the adobe reader file
to a4 page the dimensions will be ok ?
i done that and seems normal to me.

yeah i did that, for some reason had to rotate the pages on adobe though to be able to print off the secon half to each page. selotaped it all together though and seems to be right :)
