OEM airbox versus J's racing

I had this similar setup on my old EM1, it was not as nice looking as the one above... but it did the job, was made from fibreglass.

Here is how my old setup looks:

Trial fit the heat shield, drill holes to secure the box:

Maybe I should have also put those rubber linings, but yeh... did the job. I was thinking of putting cf layer sheets (stick on), but was afraid it might warp if it gets too hot.

Looks good dude simple and only made out of one piece (simple but effective)

still not convinced about these intakes,i had one before imo gives no power just moves the powerband a bit.tuners generally say theyre shite??

We need a tuner, someone willing to lend that tuner a stock airbox and someone willing to lend the tuner a J's intake and then have them both tuned on the same car :p

i had the J'S one for a little and the only thing i cant say is that they're ****.:)

my car was revving faster but the vtec kick wasnt as strong as with my old set up (the sound was great but we are talking about performance here)
so i thought it was worse but when i changed again to my old m's intake i was really disapointed yeah j's was better everywere (except under 1700rpm that it was like chocking my b18) :naughty:

nice work boxed in section looks really good. will be good to see these vids lee
