New Phillips x-treme +80% bulbs review, AMAZING!!

I ordered 2 pair Xtreme power bulbs. Can't wait to see the difference.
I'm driving my eg 80% of the time @ night (I work in nightshift). I'll let you know what I think about Xtreme power bulbs when I have them. Now I use Osram bulbs (eg) and Philips +30% (ek).

since this thread is alive, I was going to order some X-treme, but the Osram Night breaker just came out. and its priced the same so I am waiting delivery on them right now.

apparently 90% more light

I'll comment on how they are when I get them.

yes that would be great, try to get some pics shined on a wall so we can see the difference between the two :nice:

We sell this where I work, and they really are damn good.

the name, however, must be the most ridiculous ever. :D

Just been for a nightime rip through Tweesledown pass, big improvement over the old candles. :D

finally got a picture against a wall with some Osram Nightbreakers.

it is difficult to see with the picture, as it is really bright so some reason.....maybe because the background is white.

it is noticeably more intense and lights up the surface better than standard, i really think the standard is really bad if you do a lot of night driving.

beam pattern also good, you can see in the pic it really concentrates and hopefully it doesn't spread and blind others.

i have a question, when you order the bulbs from the online website, it asked me for a 2 digit issue number for the credit card, but it said " issue number or something if applied". Did you guys have to enter that number? whats is that # for?

I've now tried both philips xtreme and Osram nightbreakers.

And the nightbreakers gets the win by an inch, i kinda like that "slightly more white" look it gives.

My philips' bulbs died after 5 months =/ Kinda short lifetime

I think thats the number on the back of your card? Usually a 3pin number

thanks for the update, i have some nightbreakers sitting at home, i think i might try them out :drive:

I bought the phillips Extreme ones and to be honest i aint that impressed with them :S

Comparing them to standard bulbs i had in before, for the price i just dont feel there worth it. I don't know a halogen bulb thats better, do you? because i want them.

the nightbreakers are supposed to be a bit brighter... also if your headlight housing is hazed up that might have an effect.

My Philips bulbs also died in 6months, got the original bulbs in at the moment.

Ah just checked my earlier post...got 9 months out of them :((
