Finally installed my new BISI header, dyno out at a 17 whp gain WOW!!!

What??? 17whp?? Got a before and after dyno plot? What did it cost?
 
Very nice for a single slammer. I have the d16z6 in my hatch right now. Going to keep my SOHC even when I swap. Do you mind telling me your internals chet?
 
Holy shite, sounds like good value then! You haven't got the dyno plots in digital form? I'd like to see the gain throughout the whole rpm range :)

port and polished head
replaced all barings and seals
Vitara pistons
srm h-beam rods
stock crank
ARP head studs
exedy stage 2 clutch
fidanza 8 lb flywheel
removed p/s , a/c , cruise and anything i can

Interesting choice of intake - have you tried others? Notably something with a tuned length and a velocity stack?

May I ask who did your port work on the head?

What kind of compression do you get with the Vitaras? Are they the new offerings with the long rod from fjT?

Either way, very nice numbers!

I remove ARC on the dyno and use tube with a stack

Had the head work done locally here

Standard length rods 5394 , comp,10.1:1
Ya the new long rods are nice……next time

You got a pic of the ARC with the red filter top off? always wanted to see what the inside is like as my ARC intake chamber has a built in velocity stack up near the TB is pretty ****ing awesome.....

Post up the graphs when you get it dynod. If it makes 17WHP thats amazing!

Here my dyno sheet from last year, motors the same now except I replaced the DC header with the new BISI header will post up a new dyno sheet in about a mouth., but I can tell you it test out at 15 whp on a stock d15 and go’s up from there 19/20 whp on a b16 so I fingers with my build 16/17 gain would be right

You can NOT run air or power steering with a bisi header … its only a D so I need to pull power from anywhere I can .first to go was the air who need it LOL, I also like the fell of the car with manual steering better so its not a problem.
