Need Some Motivation !!! - Help !!!

Hey Guys - Gals !!!

Ok not sure if anyone remembers the pics and spec of my Black 2000rx - Basically in a nut shell I spent a crazy ammout of time and money building a reasonably powerfull Stroked N/A engine.. It produces 238bhp b18 with Skunk2 Cams etc..

After building the engine and getting it run in etc the gearbox decided to go bang - After that all my motivation disapeared - The car is now in its 5th month sitiing in a cold container unmoved.. I have M factory 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Gears, M Factory 4.05 Final Drive and Quaife ATB Diff sitting in my house for it..

Can you guys / gals please leave some comments of motivation to get it back out and scaring some skylines again :nice:

Where do you live?

Cause scotland is approx 12hr drive for me. I need to come up there and slap you silly!!! What are you playing at!

Firstly that is gorgeous

secondly it is a weapon

and thridly with that gear set up will wipe the floor of most!!!!

What ratios are your 1 3 4 and 5?

Mate sort it out!!!

Thanks bud... I really wanna get it sorted but its soo cold outside and I need to save the pennies !! ha.. The ratio's are - 1st 3.07, 3rd - 1.625 , 4th - 1.296 , 5th - 1.000

I had to go for the 4.05 final drive aswell as I will be using the car for quater mile, with the 4.4 I would max out at 103mph in 4th gear - I should be well over that so the 4.05 gives me longer shift time an eliminates the need for me using 5th gear..

I know what you mean by the cold weather and being arsed i have a cusco safety 21 sat in my garage its been there for 2 months mayb 3.... Should pull my finger out.

I'll make a packt with you i will get my cage fitted before the year is out if you get your box back together!!!

What made the gearbox go? What HP are they good for?
 
I've just put that into the gear calculator on mfactory looks like a really good setup.
 
Yeah - With the 4.05 ??? Do u think the 4.4 would be too short ??
 
Yeah i did look at that aswell. The 4.05 with that setup looks spot on
 
Get those gears in m8, you will be grinning ear to ear with those ratios on top of what you have already :D
 
Man get that gearbox fixed. That car has to be animal. 238BHP Civic! Anybody's dream, what's the torque like?
 
I was in the same boat when my motor blew up., after a few months i said t myself, if i don't fix it that means all the money i spent so far WAS FOR NOTHING!! That lit a fire in my pants and i got to work :)
 
Hey.. Im not 100% on how much torque it had, all I know is that it was quite alot lol.. Feels crazy out of vtec, really deep throaty induction noise.. I will get the gearbox sent away asap guys... Just hope the engine holds out ok !!

Whats up. I'd be looking into how much power those gears can handle coz my yoke is 220bhp without cams but was told the ats close mission set i have can only handle bout 230 so I'd have to change all 5 gears if I wanted to put cams into it.
 
I was wondering I don't think I've seen you on the forum for a while andy get that gear box built up mate and get it on the road and you'll remember
what you've been missing mate.
 
Love this car, looks amazing. What would be top speed be with the 4.05 fd?
 
Yeah, I really am starting to miss the Vtec rush !! The noise and the way the tyres scream for grip !! haha..

Hmm the top speed with the 4.05 and 1.000 5th gear will be around 140mph.. With the standard 5th gear you would be well over 175 !! haha..

Hey Guys !! - The motivation defo helped, thats me all really to have the gearbox re-built - Its goin in next week !! - Ohh and just ordered a nice lil set of TODA ITB's and Carbon Fibre Intake Box.. :nice:.. All I need now is for the car to lose a good few KGs in weight - Wont be for a while tho..
