Low position seat rail

I was also under this impression...

Did some more searching on the internet and I believe the BRIDE Type RO Seat rails fits the stock EK9 Recaro.

The EK9 Recaro is the same as the Recaro speed is it not?

The mkiv Supra Owners Club - View Single Post - Recaros seats and Bride subframes

But I do not know how much lower if any this would be over the stand EK9 rails.

Tokyo Express appear to sell the Spoon rails for £85.26 EACH however this is excluding VAT but still cheaper than VTEC Direct.

Even the Spoon Sports Europe website only sells them for £124.62 Exc VAT

Spoon Sports Europe

Was reading up on the itr-dc2 forum and someone was complaining about the fact that the Spoon/Vision Rail only locks on one side so in that respect the BRIDE Rails looks to be much more sturdy.

Ordered 2 Spoon Seat Rails today :)

Spoke to Duncan @ Tokyo Express (01726 833330) who was very helpfull. The current prices on their website are incorrect due to the exchange rate with the Yen and production costs.

81200-EK9-002 Low Seat Slider - RH
81200-EK9-003 Low Seat Slider - LH

They are £143.31 (inc VAT) EACH

Total = £299.12 for the pair delivered :nice:

This is the cheapest place I could find them and works out cheaper than VTEC Direct and Funky Power

Will take about 3 weeks to come from Spoon in Japan then shipped to Spoon Europe then direct to me, can't wait to get them fitted. Will post pics of the install if anyone is interested.

BTW does anyone know the Honda part number for the 4 bolts that fix the Recaro to the sub frame?

not sure on the part number but the oem rails have 6 bolts ;)

Also the bride rails are just as low as the Spoon rails, remember seeing a post of someones that they had fitted to an EJ9

I paid £115 delivered for Vision Low Position Rails (pair) New from jhpusa.com a few years ago, before the recession :p

Yeah I noticed that the Recaros had 2 each side close to one another at the back, didn't know that it was fitted with the 6 bolts. Thought that was maybe so it could be fitted to other models more easily.

Thought they might be but didn't wanna risk it as it is alot of money.

300 quid for rails?

you must have money to burn hah.

link to somewhere that sells BC rails?

Would it be possible to get a list of all the prices, manufacturers and suppliers up guys? so i could get an idea of the cheaper ones and where to get them from. be greatly appreciated guys! cheers

Spoke to Duncan @ Tokyo Express yesterday and he informed me that Spoon no longer make those rails. Apparently there not safe due to the sliders only locking on one side. Good news is that they now make a refined seat rail that locks on both sides, bad news is that they cost ~£250 EACH ! \o/

So have canceled my order as that is way too much money.

It says these rails lower by 50mm - can anyone confirm how much the Spoon rails lower by?

Vision are the same as Spoon, made in the same factory but just in a different box if im not mistaken.

says that the price is for a pair too - $175 = £106!!!

IMO that price seems to good to be true. You will have to email them for quote for international shipping to the UK.

If what Duncan @ Tokyo Express told me is true they will only be able to get the revised model at an increased price. If you do decide to email let me know how you get on.

Remember you run the risk of Import Fees :angry2:

I measured the bolt positions on the bottom of my Recaros and the measurements match up exactly with the BRIDE RO Rail. Gonna order a set next month hopefully but I dont think it will be as low as the Spoon rails, the quailty will be good though.

Im on the email case already, will update this thread soon as I have more info

:nice:

I got quoted ~£300 (delivered from Japan to UK) for a pair of Technica Sport VISION PRO One Touch Seat Slider from Greenline Motorsports.

The model on the website is discontinued but the new model is the "PRO" which I assume locks on both sides.

Greenline Motorsports - Interior Parts for Honda Civic Type R EK9 (B16B)

Have used Greenline before and the service was very good :nice:

think you can get round this by using modded dc2 subfarmes also

I thought I would bring this thread up as im now looking for a set of rails to use to fit Evo 4 recaros into an EK civic.

Did anyone get rails from the sites mentioned above? If so, do you have any recommendations?

Thanks

As said, Spoon and Vision Rail are identical. I have both.
