'Like' button on posts

I have seen it on few other non car related forums I go from time to time and I think they are a great function. Obviously I realise it will be probably quite complex to set up (and costly?), but is it something that could be viable in the future?

Being able to like peoples post means giving more communication between each other. Allowing us to support good posts, whether it be a useful technical post on good answer blah blah, you get my drift.

I just think it will be a nice addition to to the forum if it is doable?

I would be up for this too, like and dislike. Anonymous dislike might be better tho :lol:
 
There's always the rep buttons, not quite the same, but similar.
 
Yeah, what I was thinking. Rep is barely used so I wonder how often "like" for a post will be used.

I always find when ever i try to use the rep button it always tells me to spread it around a bit more.... :angry2:

Lol, for the fun of it yes. But I would just have 'like' to spread nothing but positiveity :)

Agreed, not everyone is familiar with this, and it would make sense for this to start being used more before a 'like' button introduced.

I myself hardly use it on this forum, so from now one, I will be dishing out the reps for people who deserve it.:D
 
RVM had a like button set up on this forum last year/2 years ago but after a week or so he removed it, I think it was because people wanted a dislike button as well which could lead to a lot of unhappy campers on the forum.. Members names was also shown when they liked a post..

Correct, I think I can enable it again in case is needed. :nerv:
