Kozy's EK4 in action.

I think the rings were shot, burnt the sump dry and spun a bearing. **** happens.

Sadly I think I am going to call this game over. Insurance renewal is up next month and it looks like big boys cars are now achievable, what with moving within walking distance of work an RX7 is calling me, so likelihood is I will be looking to break this car up unless anyone wants to take it whole to rebuild the bottom end.

Tallied up the parts list and it came to about £3k, that's leaving most of the original car still to break so total could touch £5k in parts.

Still won't be doing anything with it for the next 6-8 weeks so if anyone's interested let me know.

Spec list again.
B16B ~76k, head rebuilt at 71k by Will @ RDT. Supertech valvesprings and retainers, 3 angle valve job, new style LMAs, OEM valve stem seals, head fully decoked.
Bottom end reputedly has ARP head bolts, new head gasket, new OEM water and oil pumps. J700OCK seems unable to provide reciepts for all this work sadly. Stock OBD2A ECU and EK9 cams and gears.

OEM EK9 intake and full exhaust system, B16A2 intake manifold.

S4C Quaife LSD, gearbox could do with a rebuild but the LSD is tip top.

Spoon fixed dampers with Spoon progressive springs.

ASR brace and 24mm rear bar with EK9 droplinks

9lb ACT flywheel

Clutchmasters pressure plate with OEM EK9 pressure plate replaced at engine swap.

Energy Suspension polybushes

15X6.5J 4x100 Buddyclub P1 SF wheels with 195/50/15 Yoko AD08 front tyres and Goodyear Eagle F1 rears

MGZR 282mm front brakes with EBC Yellowstuff and EBC Grooved discs.

SPC front camber arms

Goodridge braided brake hoses

Apexi VAFC

I doubt very much I'll get a good offer for it as a whole as it is so it'll probably end up being broken.

So am I, I love the car and will be sad to see it go or even more so to see it broken up, but ultimately it will now become a weekend track/competition car and there is much better suited cars for that kind of thing.

If I miss it, I'll can always come back to an EK9 or DC2. :)

devastating quote mate...

sorry to hear this, but sure you'll move on to bigger and better things...
good lcuk selling bud.. i know what you mean about breaking it, definately money to be made but its such a hassle...

Indeed, major ballache that I would rather avoid. That said, it would get the next motor quicker as I'd probably end up getting double the amount back from it...
