K20/24 eg - project 300+


tdi north did a real nice job on mine, no flat spots either, real happy. i'm hoping to go back there when its cooler to get a "true" power print out ;) should make it a date when/if you come over!
 
Wont be for a while yet, i always end up buying the most expensive stuff. By the time i finish i probably wont be able to drive it as a daily. lol.

Who can map K-series properly in Ireland, Ricky has good reports from Vtec6000 does he have experience mapping k-series?? Henry is the man for mapping Hondas but it means a trip to Scotland so the price is increased a lot!

Is Hondata the only ECU to go for or are there any cheaper but equal alternatives? Also is there many advantages using K-pro over K100 for an n/a engine?

I sure do, mapped a good lot of DC5's, EP3's, K swap older gen Honda's etc even ones producing over 300bhp NA with a little help from some Nitrous oxide:D

You could go with Haltech ecu for the k20 but it's a little more expensive and IMO not as well suited in comparison to Hondata's Kpro. Datalogging been the biggest advantage of choosing the Kpro over K100.

More so the ability to monitor sensors, useful on track car's to log ECT, IAT'S and Knock etc or even on a road car if your concerned about how it's running. Datalogging can be a invaluable source for pin pointing running issues should they occur. The latest generation Hondata K-Pro daughter boards also allow 8 additional inputs for datalogging external sensors etc which would not be possible with the K100

275 mile round trip a run in a 270 odd bhp kswapped ek9 and home with these, stage 4 Drag Cartels. Nice wee Monday.

Yea just tonight there. Was down with him for about an hour and a half. Got a run in his car too, very impressive and thats before you get your hands on it ;)
