Yeah it's still going, I'm almost certain it's got abit more grunt to it aswell. On the 2nd tank of Vpower now so I might go check for detonation again abit later.

Good stuff! My mate across the road loves the mx5s he has a few , my first time driving one was last year ,
And I must say they are a great little run around well balanced too , the new mx5 is looking good also , you got the feel for that knock yet?
 
Yeah I think so. It's hard to induce on the mx5 because the engines aren't all that.
 
Yeah I guess so. Hoping to either have the engine running on its new ecu or have the cage painted by Sunday. My buddy paints cars and he's game for cracking it out ASAP.

I can't quite remember. Probably about 40-50mm?

So,
Picked the car up Saturday, had a bit of work to do when we got there and had a chat with Matt ek9 and madmike on here.
Ended up leaving Doncaster at about half 9, small issues with the rad plumbing ment I was only happy to do about 50-60mph. Got home at 2am lol
Up bright and early Sunday morning for my buddy to take the glass back out the car!


Then my other buddy, we'll name him heisenberg. Came round and we prepared the car for paint.



Then the painting began, I stayed out the way for this so a sneak shot through the garage window of the man at work



And the final result is a custom colour (mixed by heisenberg) I decided to go a little bit mighty mods and name it squid ejaculate grey.



So that's where I left it for now. I'm very happy with the colour and the cage/exhaust/fab work done by @Beetlejuice

Thanks guys, when you first say grey for an interior it sounds a bit odd but I really like it, plus it makes championship magnolia look white again

22nd May cadwell I'm dual driving Marc's car I think will yours be ready?
 
Should be ready by then yeah. Need to get the time off work as well
