I think that gray would be a very nice touch,
Would look really well in your 9 jesse .

Also with a fresh coat of champ white or gloss white it's likely to show up the exterior paintwork lol

Previous owner of my 9 found these whilst clearing out his old bedroom(moved out)

Original service booklet for my car, seems it had 1 owner up till 86km(was imported at 103km) service history goes up to 86km so quite possible that it's a 1 owner car in Japan.
Then I found the owners name and address....

Masami Iwasaki.
I think I found the old reg symbol he had aswell(reg stays with owner in Japan not the car)

So some pretty cool history about the car, wonder what old Masami would think about his car now! Lol

Next is the hunt to find him! If I can get the reg symbol I'll get some pressed plates made up or atleast a sticker of it or something.

Cool find that , love going though things like that .

Yeah I thought it was cool aswell, I'd like to do something with the car and this new info some how.

Cage is looking great man! Kinda alittle bit jealous actually haha
Can't wait to see it painted up :D

Yeah I'm looking forward to getting it back, my days are spent doing naff all now I've not got the car to work on lol

So some updates.
Cage is done! Had issues mounting the turbo to the new housing so that's holding up the exhaust being made.
Hopefully that's sorted with new parts I got turning up in the next few days.
If not then the whole assembly needs to go to Owens for custom clamps. That shouldn't be the case but it's a possibility.
I was hoping that the new turbo would use the old turbos oil return with just a restrictor placed in the oil feed port. Sadly this isn't the case either so new plumbing was bought for that.
Also needed the analog harness for my s300 as mine didn't come with one (£18.99!!)

This next purchase won't be something the majority of you would have heard of before. (I hadn't before I started learning about EFI/tuning)
As we know I'll be tuning this new build myself. This means that I'm going to need some professional equipment to do so.
I present the Plex-Tuning Knock Monitor V2.

This is a state of the art piece of kit, for established tuners it's probably alittle overkill but I know I'll need all the help I can get when it comes to hearing/detecting knock whilst learning to tune.
I plan to hard wire the wiring harness that it comes with into my loom and make a mount for the unit in the dash. This means I can use the features of the unit whilst I'm out on track/testing but can easily pull the unit out and use my laptop to power it for tuning other cars.
Hopefully the next update will be with the car back at home and all this action starting!

I very nearly bought the phormula kit as it goes. One of my buddies has their ks3 on his rb25 s13(beast) and has used the kspro kit you linked and he said it's really good.
It's abit cheaper than the plex but the plex has more features and is considered the better unit by most. Both use filters to filter out the background noise and amplifiers for the correct knock frequency.

It's common in the industry to use a standard pair of headphones and a set of ear defenders over the top(this is what I'll be doing)
The one thing that lets the plex down is no headset with it but that's relatively cheap to sort.

Loving this!

Cheers man!
All sorts of cool features to get into, once I'm confident with it I should be able to put the tune right on the limit (if I want too)

Might put it on my Mx5 today, that's rated for 97oct fuel and I've got 95 in it ATM. If I advance the timing on it I may be able to catch some DET on that.
