Jesse888 Forged/stroker turbo ek9

Car did not hang around for long with you , great job jesse she is looking fab , and that's nice work ,
Let the games begin!

Stripped some wiring loom today, looks a lot more tidy now.
Here's a small bundle I pulled out today, a bit more than that came out but it's all over the garage lol

Also does anybody know what this is? Doesn't appear to effect the engine (it still works and I have all lights etc)

What area did it come from?
Thinking static suppressor?

Oh right, not sure... Maybe impact sensor or something along those lines.
Can't see where the wiring traces back to?

It's weird, it runs straight to another plug that then powers another plug that's for either central locking or something else within the doors. I've no idea what it is but the car started without it so I'm not too worried, just wondered what it was

Ah it could be a capacitor. Looks a bit funny to be that, but it could be used for the locking if it is.
Try removing it and locking it, that's if you've still got central locking? Or have you gone full race spec lol

None of that lol
Literally all the wiring for the doors has been cut, I'll strip the doors down eventually but that's a later on job

lol full on nylon pull cord door release for a later date then!
Can't wait to see your car at Japfest!

Wish you'd done that before you brought it to us!

Haha yeah I'm sorry about the state I left it with you in, house move kicked in at the wrong time.

So a bit more work done today, not much but it's progress
Got the dash half in, needs a few mounts to support the sides

Looks more like a car inside now, also squid ejaculate battery cage...

Took a quick shot of the exhaust manifold/ waste gate plumbing and turbo.

Looking good, won't be long and you'll be tuning!

Much cutting round the dash for the cage?

Abit yeah' you can't cut it close to the bars because the dash won't go in otherwise so you have to cut a bit of clearance one side to allow it to then into the opposite A-pillar bar on the cage.

Doesn't look gash so I'm happy with it, the cluster catches the new steering column support though so I need to tilt the dash upwards Abit for clearance on that, all just a faff really.

Plenty of little jobs to keep me off the laptop for a while.

Yeah I get you, gotta cut it abit bigger so u can actually get the dash in! Sounds like there's plenty of little jobs that need doing, there the ones that take ages lol!

Haha cut wire ,start car ,good , cut another wire ,start car ,good , cut wire , car don't start, put back !lol
That's what I'd do also haha .

I've been on a tidy mission with my wiring today, found some more I want to chop out so half way through tracing that back to the fuse box.
Found where I'm going to mount my ecu etc.
Got a seriously long list of small jobs that I need to do, half of which need parts so it's taking a lot longer than I anticipated.
Will get through it though

Wiring!!! Slowly slowly catch a monkey.
You'll get there in the end :nice:

Yeah it's looking much better behind the dash now, essentially made my own loom from all my in car gadgets (gauges/controllers/wideband etc)
