Hello ppl,

I have a business in sight, Jasma headers are good for the B16a2?

These are probably going to buy.

It is a good buy?

Thanks ppl :nice:

There a lots of different Jasma headers out there buddy, it's just a Japanese stamp that means that the exhaust has met a certain level of requirements set in Japan.

For instance 5Zigen headers, ones made in Japan are Jasma stamped, ones made in the UK aren't.....

And Japanese 5Zigen headers will be stamped just the same as say a Jun Auto header will be stamped......doesn't mean to say the 5Zigen is just as good as the Jun header...

I can't see any brand on the above picture, looks almost to me like Spoon though.....still if you are looking to upgrade from your stock header, I'm sure you'll see a nice improvement, providing that one is in good condition!

:)

Isn't that a Mugen header?

No Mugen stamp so I'd be inclined to say no..........unless it's by the flange, don't see many 4-2-1 Mugen headers, mostly just 4-1, but someone did have a 4-2-1 on here a while back for sale and the stamp was by the flange I'm sure

Oh right, didn't notice it was 4-2-1 :p

The seller is not sure whether Spoon or Jun :/

Both excellent headers mate :nice: Just try and see if he can get a picture of a stamp or any indication it is Spoon or Jun....:p

It is Jasma stamped so the metal plaque may have just fallen off, maybe get some pictures up of Jun/Spoon etc and see if you can identify yourself from it's shape :)

Pretty sure thats not Mugen.
I have the Mugen 4-2-1

Jasma is not a brand, JASMA stands for:

Japanese Automotive Sport Muffler Association

That's what I was trying to explain rvm ;)

Thanks for clearing up what it stands for! :nice:

I'm going to be honest here, that thing looks like ****, i hope your getting a good deal.

This is the seal: Jasma 92E011 B16A

It's spoon correct?

But still do not understand, for example: what is the difference between us Spoon headers manufactured in Japan and some Jasma (spoon) also made in Japan?

Thanks ppl :nice:

JASMA is not a muffler brand. Its a japanese association where muffler are checked if it passes the standard for better and clean air and low decibel sound output. once the muffler is approved, it shall bear the JASMA seal.

I dont thinks its a Spoon coz i havent seen a Spoon 4-2 headers with a Jasma seal on it.

My personal opinion on the spoon header is that it is a pile of ****. Its a mild steel header that will rust to hell eventually, you could probably pick up a 5zigen header. SPOON its just a name everyone is after dont ask my why ! ! ! most the stuff is ****.

:)

Jasma IS NOT a brand, dont buy any old manifold because you think Jasma is the make on it,its just a standards stamp,It could be a manifold/exhaust guarenteed to break/rust but conforms to Jasma standards when tested!

Just dont get ripped off!

So I was right then :D

But I must agree with Bon87 and Rich777, Spoon is massively overrated!

However, I've never seen a genuine Spoon 4-2 with a Jasma stamp, so it could be a copy?
