Gearbox oil change


Gear oil is done i just filled it using the proper filling hole all seems to be going well :D

yeah well my boyfriend did it lol nah no need for the speedo speed sensor pic thanks anyway :)
 
Just went to my honda dealers today and picked up 3litres of MTF for £28. They filled up 3 one litre bottles for me and had it ready for me to pick it up! :)

Those who race often do it every oil change, some ever other oil change, some every 3rd oil change, its really up to your driving style, its cheap insurance. i change mine often personally.
 
cheers blinx, going to change the oil as soon as i get some spare time so prob do the gear box at the same time
 
1 oil pan drain/gearbox drain plug crush washer.
1 large gearbox fill hole crush washer

Need to get replacements from Honda everytime you change oil?
 
I've gotten away with not changing the washer. Just ensure you torque it to the proper value.
 
Dose anyone know where i can get some of the new honda MTF ? i have no local dealers anymore the only honda that was near me has now closed, the the next one is 30 miles away.

please help !!!!

30 miles aint that far, are you ever in that part of town?

some people use landrover mtf94, they say its basically the same stuff, its £20.80 for 3 litres
 
Yep Landy MTF is great. Got rid of all my crunches in my old MK2 CRX and helped my box situation in the EK.

I got 3 litres for £15 but thats because i got it from a Stratstone garage and i work for Stratstone :)
 
cool, where can i get some? also 30 miles there and 30 miles back is a mission for gearbox oil lol

Any landrover garage will sell it. So if theres a garage nearer than the Honda garage go there :)

A SOHC transmission take just under 2 liters. Best to buy 2 liters.
