EK Harness Bar

so after tax it will almost double the price of a sparco so thats out the window

Got a couple of quotes from Accessory zone few months ago:

NRG option is. £189 delivered.

Sparco Option. £350 delivered.

Never heard back in the end though and I duno if those prices are still valid...

The amount of money you'll spend on one of these is money towards a cage!

Depends on the cage. ;) You found me any links yet matey. OMP one sounds like the one to go for.

fook it im just using eyebolts had 3 already so just had to buy one at £2 delivered!

That harness is mounted in a VERY unsafe way :wow:

As dunsy says, harness bar is there to GUIDE the harness in at a better angle, belt should be mounted with suitable eye bolts to the rear seatbelt mounting points

mounting a harness straight down like that vertically is hugely unsafe, harnesses should not be mounted to the seat mounting points as in a serious crash you could rip the seat mounting point out. Also with the belt like that, the harness bar is working as more of an anchor than a guide ;)

thanks for telling me this Steve, TBH I dont have a clue about these kind of things so I will get it sorted asap! may have to pick your brains more tho?! :) car is off the road still at the moment anyways! gettin mega work done to it!!:secret:

Oh Ramsay, thats pretty sketchy like, Do as stevie says :nice:

Aye bit thats prob an FIA approved one with an approved strength :nice: Wouldnt rely on an NRG/Tegiwa one for that, Unless Tegiwa get theirs approved :nice::nice::nice:

defo wait til its FIA approved!:nice:

due to nature of item i doubt you could ever get a harness bar fia approved

Really?

I wold of thought specifically because of the nature of the item, Someone would get them Approved, Maybe not FIA especially but some sort of safety/strength standard

Dunsy has first dibs but I'd be interested If he doesn't want it anymore ;)

Dunsy i dunno how ur gonna fit a harness bar like that round your cage mate...........
