yes this was mentioned in th the first page, i really dont mind you guys trying to help out an add stuff but please make sure we dont already have it :nice:
 
Ooops sorry guys, I totally forgot about this thread.

1) You see, normal EK rear clusters only have 3 globes. 1 brake, 1 indicator, 1 reverse. EK9 has 2 brake lights(1 on the bottom part and 1 on top), 1 indicator and 1 reverse globe. Know what I mean? Look at my pic then you will understand.... and notice the wiring has 4 globe sockets.

This is why in one of the videos I mentioned that the car has not got EK9 rear clusters. http://www.ek9.org/forum/photos-videos/1387-ek9-amazing-sound.html :D i didn't know so many people doesn't know this...:nice:

2) Did anyone know that there are 2 variations of Red Floor mats for CTR? hehe one is dark red and the other is light red. Light red looks better but dark red hides the wear and tear better. :nice:

3) The EK9 has lighter(thinner) windscreens to save weight which is same as DC2R.

4) EK9 has extra welds and is the only body frame to have a rear sub-frame brace + usual braces. Check pics of my car again.

5) EK9 has another brace or thicker beam on top of where the hatch bolts onto.

this explains why my recently rear clusters light top and bottom :eek: i was wondering if it was normal... however 'Blinx' cleared that out in prev post updated recently :nice:

apparently the late 2000 models bring the 2 brake lights.
 
hi guys my ek9 dosent have recaro interior r tinted back windows! any ideas y? chasis numbr and engine numbr match so it not reshelled.

What did the person you bought it from tell you?? Did you ask him?? Or you were enough dizzy with the idea of "Type R" so you did not pay attention to detail? :D But again, Recaros missing is not a detail imo! :shocked:
The first that comes to my mind is that the previous owner did not like tinted windows and recaros(don't think so) or he needed cash!
 
he yold me sum da lightweight models didn *** wit recaro interior. dis true?ye i think he sold it too. got it cheap nehow nd shes mint! mugen ecu, exhaust and induction kit 193 bhp.

you just have the base model.

I think you have a race base model, do you have manual windows ? :nice:
 
ye manual windows. He told me it lightweight motorsport model onli 500 made dat he taught was sumtin wrong wit it too until he looked it up on da net.dats y am here! It dont boda me it dnt have recaros r tinted bk windows i got it alot cheaper than da oda ones i seen and its mint! U reali know ya stuff rvm. any ideas if wat he said is true??

I don't think so, your car was made for racing.

What I mean is, that why you want a fancy interior if you will throw away all this and install a roll cage and a bucket seat?

Thats was there was a ek9 race base, that where used in the N1 races in japan.

Thats a real ek9 race base. You can see ek9s with a/c , p/s recaro interior, but with manual windows, they where options provided to the buyer before buying it!

The interior of a ek9 race base, is almost like a simple ek3, only the gauge cluster is the civic type r one.

I've seen in the UK, that a lot of people import ek9 race base, install the recaro interior and the car looks like any ek9.

I think that what he said that only 500 where made, is just a "I want to sell the car" phrase, typical of a sales man.
