Dyno results

Good numbers mate.

Can't wait to get mine dyno'd!!!

Would IMO say its the ECU and Intake that may be causing the DC2 low numbers. Or the engine may not be very healthy or the tyre pressures may not have been right, or brakes sticking, or clutch slipping could be a thousand diff things lol.

That is strange?

Maybe its down to the map its self.... Im wondering if its that spoon ECU?

Because thats below standard for a B18C........... Saying that it is well know you should always take dynos with a pinch of salt as i have seen some real odd reeading in my time, but on the road they go great.......

How does his car fair up to yours speed wise? He will have a bit more weight but you should be able to work it out.... Do you leave him pretty hard? Providing youve raced him obviously...

On his graph he seems to lose power just before vtec - like 5-10hp then when vtec engages his power comes back up - its strange!

Nah i havent raced him - before his engine was fully rebuilt it was burnin a sh*t load of oil and he wouldnt - then when it was rebuilt he wouldnt cos he was breaking it in - then he wouldnt once he seen my figures lol!

You would be surprised - a DC2 is lighter than a EK4!

The engine has just been fully rebuilt - my guess is the ECU! I told him to pay another £35 and he could have had another run with my ECU in it! But he didnt want to!

Excellent result..

Is the JDM 98spec ECU a straight swap into a UK car? Would love to try one on mine...

I have read that the map is slightly more aggressive which, combined with the better header on JDM cars would account for the +10BHP they have on paper..

I already have a Mugen CAI, 98 spec 4-1 header & hi flow CAT with Spoon street system, so the ingredients are there to allow a JDM ECU to work to its optimum:)

Nice mate! Just goes to show that our non-jdm B18Cs still can make the same punch. The only difference between them is the intake cam and tune. headers dont matter becoz youve already got an aftermarket.

dyno dynamics is about 95% of all the dynos used in AUS. Theyre famous for reading low. Theres a couple of modes in the software that makes them read even further lower. I'm guessing the mode was set at Shootout mode(highest reading mode)

Nice figures mate, well done! :) I was thinking of arranging a rolling road day there with all my mates once I get a new header and de-cat. Do you recommend them and where are they based?

jesus imagine what id get with my jdm integra motor on that dyno haha

nice figure all the same,
