compression ratio?

No way to tell if it's running safe without datalogging the car to make sure fuelling is ok and it's not detonating.

Oh rite ok wel where do i get that done or is it just done when i go to get a remap?

Yea i hav it ill check when i drive it next! why what does that figure mean??

It is a knock reading turned into a scale basically , a reading 50~60+ points can mean you have engine harming knock but it is not the gospel , take vtec6000 advice and have it looked at ..

Some engine's can be noisy so as you say don't take it for gospel, even stiff engine mounts where road vibration can transfer from chassis to engine can give high "knock" reading:nice:

@Kozy: no need for the stupid comments if u dont wanna give a proper answer then stay out of the thread you smart arsed ****!!

Calm down dear! Timing retard you fool. You must be running a lot of timing retard to have that thing running safely. Which I am fairly certain will be losing you potential power.

I knew that comment would get a bite but there's no need for the C word. :(

You could have jus stated that so!! im not sure what you mean by timing retard but ill find out! would it cause a big loss in power?

Apologies about the C word!

No worries, it was meant to get a rise, I just got a bigger one than I expected :D.

Basically to stop that charge exploding uncontrollably the ignition advance will generally be set very late, which is not good for power. It could even be making less power than stock, you've got the extra pumping losses associated with compressing the charge that much more, then not reaping any of the benefit with stock cams and retarded ignition.

Are we talking about the same 227bhp B16B in your sig?

oh rite ok...
Yea its the same engine......it used to be in Tango'd civic's car and he got it mapped and it dyno'd at that! I bought the engine off him but have not dyno'd it since! I really dont think its making that power tho to be honest
