I just used the compression ratio calculator and got a CR of 12.73:1
Is this very high or just normal?

Wibble nipples cheeseboard says possibly?

I presume you forgot to mention (which would make your post make more sense) that you entered in EK9 pistons on a B18C bottom end and got 12.73, which is indeed correct.

yea i did enter that because i hav a stroked b16b! forgot to mention
was jus asking was it very high....

Is that Tango civic's old engine? mapped by TDP on a Power FC IIRC

Yea its Tango'd Civics old engine was mapped on a power fc by TDP on E5 petrol! Why is this such a bad thing? i dont no as much about these things as yee guys thats why im asking.

It's fine once mapped correctly. A members car on here who I mapped has a 13.0:1CR b18c running on E5. For stock cams though its a lot of compression, I bet it would make exact same power with 12.0:1 CR.
 
Do you still have the hand controller for the ecu? Whats the max knock reading on it?
 
Ians car is running 13.2:1 on pump fuel, guess as mentioned it's all down to the tuning
 
Running Toda C cams though, you need mega static compression to make them work

Thanks for that i jus wanted to make sure its ok.....it needs a remap and wil be getting one as soon as i have the money! u reckon its safe how it is tho??

No way to tell if it's running safe without datalogging the car to make sure fuelling is ok and it's not detonating.
