Hi I got a jap speed decat and a ebay cat back for civic but is way too loud. Its improved performance a lot but thank god the back box came with a silencer.
Am jst wondering what good backbox can I get which makes a nice sound but not too loud that police would stop me for it?

buddy club is one of the loudest exhaust in the market......
if u want sth not too noisy and give u a nice note,
recommend Mugen and Fujitsubo, but they are expensive and quite rare compare to the other brands.

using Fujitsubo RM01-A atm, very nice sound.

If you want a quiet exhaust with great performance, I'll give the mugen twinloop design a try :nice:

I've ordered an OBX Twin Loop. Check out this movie, the muffler takes away 18-20db of your sound, is still free flowing, sounds nice and is waaaaaaaaaay cheaper than the Mugen. 75 bucks new on Ebay.

YouTube - civic new twin loop, BEFORE during and after video instal

Nice choice dude!

Is it a 2.5" inlet and outlet?

If so, it flows better than the Mugen. Most ppl in my country use Xforce twinloop as alternative since they flow better than mugen but dont look as good.

2,5" in, but I believe thats outer diameter. They're also available in 3". I can't wait to have it in my hands :D  Only need it to weld....they're crazy expensive in Holland: anywhere between 200 and 300 euro's to weld it to an endpipe and those hang up thingies :nono::angry:

Have you heard the complete movie? Cause someone else said the same and when I told him to listen to the _whole_ movie, he afterwards said he didn't hear the OBX. In the movie you hear 3 types of sounds: first the japstyle muffler, then without muffler (or the other way around) and it's not till later in the movie (middle-end) that you hear the OBX.

I just finished the video, yeah sounds alot better at the end.
Its just the way you've created that video, 4 mins of rubbish sound, then 30 seconds of nice sound at the end....

Thats what I like about that movie! It's that movie that convinced me to buy it. You can
1.) Compare the decibells of the OBX to the old muffler and no muffler
2.) Compare the sound of the old muffler to the new one

There should be more of these movies.

All pipes are measured outside diameter.

Mugen 2.36"
xforce 2.5" inlet > 3.5" outlet
obx ?

Gd choice anyway, much cheaper than mugen
