aem v2

For your info...this is what the AEM v1 sounds like on my EK9 :win:

It is the only induction kit I have noticed a difference in power when fitted.

as far as my research tonight has concluded, the AEM B16 hybrid intake, P/N 21-5007 is the one to go for for a hefty engine build

anything less than 3" ID piping will most likely choke a high comp engine running big cams

looks like i'll be selling my mugen intake :(

Surely ITBs must be next on the list for you Steven?

nah, not with my endyn manifold, also i've driven a B18C with jenveys and wasn't a fan!

Check out BPI flowstacks ;)

Ah yes I forgot you had that masterpiece in your arsenal!

Suprised at your lack of love for the Jenveys, but then I've never experienced them myself, I know J700OCK didn't get on with his either though. What did you dislike about them out of interest? They are something I would sorely love to own, if for no real logical reason...

They really aren't all that IMO..... i mean you can feel the added low end grunt, but up the revs its much the same as an intake plenum! Not worth the huge expense, especially for me running short gears as i will spend most the time over 5k on circuits

Had a measure last night, the mugen intake is 3" at the velocity stack outlet from the filter, never knew that :D think it should flow plenty combined with edelbrock 65mm TB and cut/port/weld inlet manifold

I had a mugen intake on my high comp setup with JUN3 cams. I think i made 220bhp on a dyno dynamics.

can anyone confirm that AEM V2 is the best cold air kit.

That is such a vague question and you will only receive vague answers.

Research a bit and you'll find that even AEM V1 intake outperforms V2. And Injen outperforms V1. Enough said.

Everything else here is all opinion. Just because you bought a $3000 header or spent shitloads on a port job, got the best IM etc, doesn't guaranty you will see the expected gains. You could make it worse in worst case scenario. Everything has to work together.
