Firstly, hello!
I'm new here :)
On the hunt for a decent ek9 and found what looks like a minter local too me!
100k miles and extensive history, viewing over weekend.

But is this too many miles? :/
Started reading around and worrying myself!

Opinions everyone?

Said car-http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3704141.htm :)

Welcome mileage isn't a problem with Hondas aslong as its been looked after and you have proof it has then go for it!

Some nice parts on it, although it is expensive for the mileage.

the mileage is no problem for the car and engine. I just changed my engine, because I had another b16b with just ~60.000 on the clock.
The old one had around 140.000 on the clock and still looked very good, had good compression etc. And it hadn't a easy life after I got it with around 97.000 miles ;D

Is it quite expensive?
They range so much in price?
I figured with the parts on it and condition it didn't seem too bad?
Hmm.

It sounds looked after, mileage is genuine and good history.

As long as its looked after the mileage is nothing.

mileage means very little, its nice to have a low mileage one but you could buy one with 50,000 on it and could be smokey, burn oil etc all on how there looked after

That seems like a GOOD genuine and clean car, Remember you get what you pay for in the Honda world there's no such thing a "bargain" ek9 IMO unless you are lucky, and the time and money you spend fixing up a dog you could have just bought a fresh one, seemingly like the one in the ad :nice:

Again as said before mileage is nothing to a Honda as long as its been looked after my old ek4 had over 150 k and went like a dream

As many have mentioned mileage isn't an issue as long as its been maintained correctly. That looks like a stunning example, definately worth a look.

Most ek9 are now over 100k, so that shouldn't put you off, like mentioned by others, bullet proof motors!

i would never pay 6 grand for a civic that age and that milage! who comes up with these prices???

Me.
And plenty of other people.
Have you ever driven one?

yes i have, my mate graeme dan alex and james have one...and its just a civic...1 grand more gets you a lotus elise... i know id rather wait one more month and get a lotus over a honda.

didnt dispute they were good, but 6 grand for a civc that age that milage is absolute madness....the reason ek9's are expensive...because idiots pay the price people ask!

mileage doesnt matter at all. as people have said as long as its been looked after. Mines has just hit 130,000 miles, doesnt burn a drop of oil and runs perfect! good luck!

Everyone would love a low-miler, miles wouldnt put me off and that one look's fresh.

You could also get an M5 for that price but not everyone wants a car without a boot or a car with ridiculous running costs? You are correct, a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay. But surely that shows that this is what they are worth if they are all around that price?
