What about members that have been on here for a few years but don't have a post count over 250? I joined here in December 2008 and have posted only 132 times but none of my posts have been crap. They have either been asking questions or answering other members questions. So obviously im not a...

    re-registering an ek9 as an ej9?

I'm 27 years old, 6 years Ncb, car parked in my drive and I pay €990 fully comp. Thats a little bit expensive. I don't moan about it though. I just pay it because I want to drive an Ek9. If you were a genuine enthusiast you wouldn't even consider posting something like this on the forum. Look...

    re-registering an ek9 as an ej9?

Its not silly! It's the most stupid thing I've ever heard of. It's all well and good if you drive extra carefully but what do you do if someone crashes into you? What you are talking about doing is fraud. If anything does happen your insurance is void. You have a claim on your insurance already...

    Ek9 boot floor base

Yeah you can get a brace that uses these bolts but what you are missing from the car is the rear bumper bar and the four bolts that hold it to the chassis legs. I'm sure someone that is breaking a car would have all these parts but it might be hard to find a good condition bar as they are known...

    Ek9 boot floor base

Are they the holes for the bolts for the rear bumper bar? Four holes altogether. Two on the left of the spare wheel well and two on the right. They are where the chassis legs run down the back of the car. Could be these if you are saying that they don't look drilled but they look standard.

    Water leaking into car

Hi Ian. This sounds like it could be the problem because I can't see where the water is getting in but I'm able to see where it is going. And from what you have described on your car it seems to be the same problem as what I have. I have a good idea of exactly where you are talking about but...

    Water leaking into car

There are no holes or rubber grommets for anything like that. Everything looks as it should from the factory. Appreciate the help though.

    Water leaking into car

The past couple of weeks I have noticed that the passenger side front floor mat and carpet have been damp after heavy rain. I lifted the carpet to find a lot of water underneath it. It looks as if the water is running down the back of the ecu from higher up. I ran water from a hose all over the...

    Car tax increase !

They are increasing car tax but I doubt it is gonna be by 65%! There is no way I would pay €207 for 3 months. I'd rather not drive a car than give that sort of money to the government!

    Help with alternator

I recently got my alternator reconditioned on my 98 pre facelift Ek9 as it was only charging at 12.5 volts. When I fitted it back onto the car it was still only charging at 12.5 volts. I brought the car to the guy that reconditioned it and he checked the 4 wires on the green plug that goes onto...
