What have you beaten in your ek9?

Never said i had a big spec list, i ant even started modin my car yet!
well i can only go off what they say althoght the prelude hav graph to prove it!
my car when last on rollin road was 177hp but f**kin vtec controller is pissin around at the mo:angry2::angry2::angry2::angry2:, just savin a few more £'s to order a APEXI FC & COMMANDER.:naughty:
Im not on hear to talk s**t or try and make out my car is something it's not (prob get my ass wopped off 90% of you on hear) but im just stating some of my win's that's all!:nice:
All i do know is my car feel's quite fast to me and handel's like it's on rail's!:bow:

i raced a starlet they are 1.3 turbos i believe, he tried to accelerate away from me i was holding at 7k rpm behind him and i had loads more left,

not all that at all, the one i had a bash at had a dump valve and a straight through pipe,

Hey i just noticed you said the 9 "Isnt a straightline performance car?"

......a claimed 0-60 at 5.7s....... Faster than a Golf R32 or a Astra VXR Not a straight line performance car?????

Its been said plenty of times on here and other honda forums that ek9s are more of a track orientated car i.e. amazing cornering abilities, rather than an all out straightline performance car.
Also, claiming a 0-60 of 5.7s and actually doing it on the track, strip or street is a different story imo;). Was'nt the 0-60 of 5.7s figure taken from a race base model ek9?

@ Noel Doyle, JIMBOB-EK9, and Adam_83. We've had plenty of long threads on the starbo forum about the starbos v civics. Personally Ive never any problems beating vti's, and I kept up with my mates teg ( should have seen his face lol), but Ive never had the chance to go against an ek9. Nothing major done to my starbo, just full 2.5" turbo back, cai,avc r boost controller running 0.8 bar, ssqv and a few oother goodies:D

plenty lad,and have beaten them all ive come up against yet...
i used to own a 99 glanza and my type r wouldnt of passed it out in a strait line....but when the bends come in the type r would of had it

the starlet turboes are very overrated i think...if it has over 160bhp it will be fairly nippy but anything under 160 is just a waste of time....

great cars for what they are...but need lots of mods to be quick/handle
 
Ye some people do overate them at times. Theres a local member of the chavs bridgade thats got an early ep82, thats keeps asking me for a race and claims he'll smoke me:blabla:. When I asked him what mods he had, he said a bov and induction kit, and went on to tell me the amount of scoobies, evos etc hes slaughtered.I can't be bothered wasting my petrol on him man :lol:. Ive had my fun with the starbo now, and looking forward to having a play with my ek9:)

Tooshi old boy, i think you could be right about the stripped out race version of the 9, plus there are loads of diffrent factors that count for making 60mph in the quickest time (Ability,Weather,Tires etc,etc) So i dunno for sure!!!!
 
Exactly. Tell you what though. If I do manage to get anywhere near that figure when my 9 arrives, I'll be posting on here to tell everyone asap no doubt:)

i raced gt starlets an glanza's they are nothin my m8 in his stock vti bet a glanza wit a td04(subaru impreza turbo)that was runnin 180bhp he left it in 3rd 4th gear....an wen i raced it in my 9 lets jus say that thing was a joke haha:nice:
 
Was it an eg6 or ek4 man?. Not to sound biased coz I own a starbo, but their pretty damn quick with a td04 conversion. Would see off a stock vti no worries. I give vtis hell with my lil ct9 turbo at 0.8 bar lol. Sure the other guy could drive properly dude?

ek4 vti....ya guy in the glanza can drive alrite i no him an its def runnin 180bhp cos he has a dyno print out to prove...i was surprised myself wen the vti bet him....but i knew id def beat him in my 9 but he annoyed me till i agreed to race him i jus thought it was a waste of petrol.
 
lol @ annoyed me till I agreed to race him. How did you do against him in your 9 dude? I knew the 9's were quick, but not as quick as I td04 starbo. Now you've said this, Ive deffo gotta go and have a crack at my mates td04 starbo at the strip when my 9 arrives:)

The other night i raced my mates cousin in his starlet turbo in my ek4 - with only bolt ons was the same up to about 60 but after that i pulled away very nicely and at top end he was well behind me.

haha i beat him by about 6 car lengths i chew them things off the road....they are a quick little car for a 1.3 but at the end of the day they are still only a 1.3 there is only so far u can take them...the only starlet or glanza thats ever beaten me is this red 1 that is goin around that has a 1.5 block 1.3 head an few other things its supposed to be runnin 300bhp its crazy in a straight line but the handlin seems sh**e in it an it keeps breakin on him.
