What do i do?

I added suspension and exhaust mods to my ek9 only cost about £200 more so worth it in my opinion. Though I am part way through the policy so its cost less the further through the policy you are.

im thinking about keeping my car now but declare mods then spend a little bit of money and get a new induction kit and 4-1 mani

Be patient my friend! If i could go back to your age i'd have just waited till i can buy the car i want! I've spent thousands doing it the other way always settling for second best! Just keep you chin up, GOOD things come to those who wait!

i wouldnt think about an ek4 or a jordan and especially not an ek9 if its as bad as u say with people in your area wrecking your car whats the point? why do that to a 9? stick to the 1.4i

good decision :nice: you can actually make the 1.4's quite nippy with some choice mods

however if you suddenly decide you must change then try having a look at other cars , i suggest a levin bzr :secret:

its more the people at college that are jealous.
i might use the bonus i get in march (£600) and buy some goodies

ive an ssb 1.4i myself but planning to get a donkey this year... with 4k your not far off a k20 conversion ;)

Theyre jealous of your 1.4 EJ9 so your wanting to get a nice shiny new Key magnet?

translation...keep the banger/look but drop in a vtec lump get handling sorted and for Dunsy's sake! insure it all!:nice:lol

i was looking to start using my car when i finish college anyway but i think keeping my car is the best option for me

It would cost a hell of a lot less to declare your mods than if you were to ever be involved in an accident as technically...your not insured. Obviously it doesn't matter to me as youl never have a bump with me, but if someone with a modified car crashed into me it would be the first thing i would check with my insurance, that their insurance is full and they have all mods declared. Especially if i was at fault

Your decision man, just think people who dont declare their mods are asking for trouble

VERY good point by dunsy

I have always insured mods on my cars also a conversion when i had my corsa, definetly worth the extra cost just so you know your properly insured. The cost differene isnt massive with companys i have been with for basic mods, points however are the killer on insurance and prob why didnt get a 9!

Back on topic it's really your decision what to do...

Wait and buy a 9! Or at the very least buy a cheap B16A to enjoy some VTEC do nothing to it and buy a 9 in a years time! Will help lower your insurance having some experience in a faster car!

IMO Do not waste your money on a Jordan they are just a yellow EK4. Unless you really crave that rarity of course. For me i'd rather have that extra 1k in goodies than yellow seats and yellow paint.

Just my opinion

spot on!!! get a cheap ek with b16a and maybe exhaust/breather mods and enjoy it then in a years time see where you're at if you want an ek9 or maybe a dc2
