I have a 2000 EJ9 facelift model, I'm looking for a b16 engine. What one should I buy?? r does it really matter as long as I get the right loom and drive shafts for the car. Thanks Joe.

should be any diffrence as long as they are b series ek shafts. i have a b16a1 in mine for the moment, its all about making the loom work, but to make it easier you ant an obd2b harness which you should really have most of alot of it is plug and play. as long as you get the right harness type injectors and distributor you can fit whatever you want.

alryt mate. if your car is not vtec already it will be a case of geting a wiring loom from a esi civic which is vtec, swap the loom with ur one and as long as you get all engine mounts, dtiveshafts, ecu etc it will just be a case of swaping it all over. it realy is quite straiforward. :)

why do you need a esi loom in a 2000 ej9 dont get you dude

Alright lads, thanks for the help.

all you need is the, b16 engine from a facelift ek4 or prefacelift ek4

the engine loom that you will need is obd2b ek4/ek9
ek4/ek9 rear L mount
ek4/ek9 passanger side dual post mount

an its all plug and play mate

If I get a b16 from a 1994 crx. What will I have to change and/r buy. Such as if the loom is the same obd as mine then I will not have to buy that, but what about the mounts, gear box, ECU and driveshafts will they all work in a 2000 EJ9 ??

like i said any b16 will work, as said u need a couple of diffrent mounts, mainly the l bracket.

but alot of the sensors are all the same fit, you just need to match your interior loom with your exterior loom, which is obd2b as said.

I have a complete B16A2 swap for sale, includes:

Gearbox
Driveshafts
Mounts (EK)
B18c inlet manifold
Wiring loom
Exhuast manifold
Gear linkage

And so on... PM me if your interested.

as above what i have wrote you will need, if i was you i would touch a 94 b16 as thats obd1, an to fit that you will have to change alot of things to run it in a obd2 civic

all sensors are not the same mate as they are obd1 sensors on 94 b16's, so best of getting a b16 from a civic ek

A though had pop into my head as I drove past a 5dr hatchback today. As long as I get the correct engine mounts, I should be able to put one of the B18C4 engines into my ej9?? Would I also be able to use there drive shafts as well ??
Cause my car is an 2000 and as long a 1998/99 car has the correct harness it should work correct??

If you get the five door loom etc you'll need the keys and ignition barrel as well.

How come?? Why dont ya need the Barrel and keys for a B16b swap aswell??

You will need the barrel and keys on most uk models as there ecu's are immobilised, unless u use an after market one, jdm oem ecu or remove the immobiliser.

My car already has an immobilizer on it, so would it be possible to swap the immobilizers over on to the new ECU?? if so how easy would it be to do??
