Hi!

I have one problem.I bought on jan.2 one set EK9 cam.Ali.mahmoodek4 send one pm,when she has one set.I send 235 GBP on jan.2. and now jan.30 not received. This person not respon my e-mails,and my PM.I find on the facebook (presumably). He did not respond to anything...

That's all on this forum, that these figures are unreliable reserved...

Did you pay via paypal?

You should be able to start a dispute with paypal and get your money back.

Just checked the member list and he was last signed in on 13th Jan 2013. Maybe that's why you haven't had any replies. As said open a dispute in paypal and get your cash back.

I had a quick look at the members posts Ali.mahmoodek4 he has 11 posts and no reputation thread. I personally would never buy from anyone like that. There is a reason for the reputation centre and also a reason why you need 250posts before you can sell on here. Hopefully you paid via paypal and can open a dispute :nice:

Very true mate.

Sorry to hear about this mate.

A perfect example of why the forum has the post count and rep thread rule.

I hate to say it but even PayPal may not be able to recover the cost the seller has probably withdrawn the money already and legged it. Happened with me on a group by years ago.

Why don't people read the rules! They are there for your safety! It upsets me further when people contest the rules. It's for your protection!

I'm pretty sure you'll be safe if you payed fees. Up until 45days of payment? It may take a while if the seller doesn't respond but they have a time limit to do so.

Only if you have a bank account set up. If the seller did not do this (probably not) they can withdraw and close all accounts.

Happened on civiclife few years ago, PayPal had no where to recover the cost from.

Rule is unless ridiculous traveling costs go pick it up in person, I have just done a 1100 miles to collect a rma01, spoon n1 and a s80 4.7 gearbox, saves a huge ballsache like this, and its another road trip to add to the list.

Sorry to hear this bud hope you get your money back.

Next time i see a thread about the 250 post rule this is getting copied straight in there.

horrible to hear about this mate, hope you get it sorted.

That user name sounds mega dodgy anyway!

Sorry to hear about the OP. Hope you can recover your money.

Yeah it's a shame, it takes being scammed or near scammed in my case to become wary of these things. I always pay fees now. Unless its something cheap cheap.
Hope you get your money back.
To everyone else take this thread as a reminder to only deal with trusted members and pay fees

Paypal will not do anything about it, I know from experience. Consider it a lesson learnt.

Paypal will get the money back if they find the lad who sold the item was in the wrong.

If the item never got to you its the sellers problem so paypal should give you your money back. They give you your money back and they will chase the guy for the money then. I had a similar experience to this about 8 months ago.

Just keep at paypal and try ring them if you can
