Tegiwa Manifold

I've got my tegiwa manifold and have a Hondata Manifold gasket on the way.

I'm booked in for monday 24th in just over a week so I'll get base dyno figures with stock ecu as the car stands now and then manifold and S300 ecu fitment and tune.

I had a 5zigen on my last ek9 and it was quality. This manifold is serious quality too. Looking forward to getting it fit. Hope I haven't wasted my money. :nono:

Be great to see what figures it pulls with the s300 after..

Im stuck on what manifold to get for my Civic, just came across this Japspeed 4-2-1. its priced at £179 with free P+P from japspeed direct. Are they any good?? Need help

Hello Tegiwa, how come the header bracket does not coincide with the bracket attached to the engine?

And this?

Thanks for bringing this up, i have the exact same problem, but i didn't want to be the first to say it...

I mean whats the point in the extra tabs on the top of each of the primaries if they're secured by bugger all at the back?

Being honest, i'm happy with the manifold construction, build quality etc, but a 45mm gap (i measured it myself) between the 2 mounts is miles off for something that costs what this does.
Even if the bracket is in the right position, the holes won't line up with the original mounting studs on the bracket, can also be seen in the above pic.

@ tegiwa, out of interest, whats the guarantee on these?

is japspeed good or not??

From personal experience i wouldn't know.
But a mate bought a de cat and had to cut and re weld it to make it fit.
I wouldn't pay that for one, i'd imagine there's absolutely zero r+d put into it.
If your after a cheap mani that looks good, ebay is your friend.

Quality is expensive!

theres to many choices, its for my bday pressie off my parents and i want a brand new but not stupidly expensive manifold

@tedman: The manifold bracket is like that too on the original toda and j's racing
manifolds. Only manifolds and exhausts I was really ever impressed with was Fujitsubo , quality fitment , performance and sound , so I think Il be spending my money on them.

The Toda priced over a £1000 and the bracket is miles off? WTF.

Wow, didn't know that. Amazed that they can charge that when it doesn't fit properly.
I'll probably make something up to make it fit them so...

The reason its like this is that its made to fit a 98spec engine which has a different bracket. I'll have a look into a possible fix for this. The rear bracket isn't crucial but I will try to sort something

They have a 1 year warranty. Which is better than you will get with any jdm header as we can actually sort the problems out as we arnt half way around the world
