Tegiwa Manifold


Ever had any other manifolds? what do you recommend if you've had corrossion and fitment problems with the dc sports ones?

This is where i'm in a tricky situation because although i've had problems its the price of a certain DC Sports manifold that keeps me interested.

DC Sports Race Manifold - 4-1 Ceramic - FUNKY POWER

Thats the one i had on my B18C and I can assure you it provides the gains this was probably the only bolt on mod i felt that made a huge difference !!

£285 is a steal, I was prepared to pay that and if it broke i'd replace it.

I think my biggest problem with this particular manifold was the heatwrap i put on it as DC Sports basically tells you their manifolds will fail when wrapped, also this is the main problem with corrosion as the heat wrap can stay wet (personally i sprayed my heat wrap with DEI thermal/waterproof paint and it worked a treat.

No matter what you choose just make sure you upgrade to a 2.5" collector (dont forget to buy the donut gasket). You maye have fitment issues if you dont already have a decat to fit 2.5" collector.

Also to add to the argument you have to decide between 4-2-1 & 4-1

If its BHP your after 4-1 is your friend - also on a B18C i think is the best manifold - for a B16B you might be better with a 4-2-1 for the midrange torque.

good choice in the funkypower, i buy a lot of stuff from them through zac and just got a dc sports one as well m8 :) i have just bought one from there and for the price is great value for money

Dan did you not get a skunk2 manifold?? Decided on an exhaust yet?
 
no skunk2 throttle body and dc sports manifold :) going for a skunk2 exhaust and selling the buddy club spec3 :)
 
98 spec dc2 4-2-1 5zigen, been on my car a few years now no problems v good clearance.
 
just to make things even more difficult, have you considered a Vibrant 4-2-1?

Nar i dont have one but i'm planning on getting one. From the reviews on here and Honda-tech there amazing for the money. Catch is you can only get them from the states for around $550 delivered

Why dont you save your self the time/money and get one of ours, your really close to us.. come and take a look at it and im sure you wont say no...

Do you have an EK9? If so we'd be willing to pay for a dyno before and after on it too

I'm afraid i don't have a EK9, a B16 in a EJ9 (B20 in a couple of months) but that is a nice offer :) I have to admit i want be saving myself any time or money as the Vibrant is £310 delivered at the moment with the current exchange rate and has a 2.5 collector (not sure if the Tegiwa is i must admit)

With vat/duty, charges it will be around £420
Our header has a 2.5" collector
Come up and see it...
 
ur pockets will be very deep now meerrrrtiiiin haha u wil stil never know what its like to beat me in the jordan haha
