i am simply looking for a grippy set of tyres. people have told me toyos aint great but some people have told me they are good ? what do people recomend ?

cheers

Toyos are good but only in large diameter, low profile sizes, in our size they are sloppy and unresponsive.

true but can heat up and be quite grippy. But still sloppy unresponsive feel.

Parada 2's are much the same but with a bit more grip and a bit sharper feel. But sacrafice wet weather use as theyr are useless in rain where as the t1r's arnt actualy that bad in the wet.

I haven't tryed Prada spec 2 but I tryed T1R and they arn't that bad for the money, the only down side is that the have a soft side wall, so when your going around a corner it looks like the tire is going to pop of the rim lol.

Wouldn't get either unless i was skint and desperate for tyres.

Pretty sure Hankook RS-2s are cheaper than parada spec 2's.

Spec 2's are dangerous in the wet, no other word for it. If you get them in 15's the side walls are silly soft (and i mean soft, if people think T1-rs have a soft side wall then they need to have a prod at some spec 2's :) ), which is no good for a car which has fairly firm suspension. Will ruin the turn in and have a lot more flex. They do grip fairly well in the dry if i am honest. But i found normal road going tyres like faulken 912's better all round.

Had T1-rs before to, hated them also. But couldn't really argue at £24 a tyre, which is what they were at the time. Think they are £28 atm in 195/50/15.

I got 4 RS-2 for £217 delievered 195/50/15 really good value for money, if you have the extra cash go for yoko ad08's meant to be like the RS-2's but better again.

^All imo of course, other peoples views on tyres will be different from mine. Each to their own :)

I found paradas terrible but on a good note they are ok for the price, but tbh tyres is one of the best parts you can buy for your car and i would recommend spending a bit more money to get the best out of your as tyres will change the whole feel of the car!

tyres ive got now which are amazing are AD08's!
quite expensive but i think they are doing deals on them try blackcircles.com and rarerims

Rs2 from where mate?

i got mine from Camskill, then just drove to a kwik fit and gave a lad £10 to fit them/balance them and fill them with Nitrogen :nice:

Camskill will normally beat any other price, aslong as you can provide a link to the site beating camskills current price.

Heres the link to the 195/15/50s for you. Think the price has gone up a tiny bit since i last bought some, be because VAT has gone up.

If you are just Road do not buy R888 or similar semi slicks! For a starts it's a waste of an amazing "track" tyre and secondly it becomes idiots like yourself that buy them and drives the prices up! They are already £100 a corner now. If you have a 7" rim the t1r or proxes 4 will feel ok but on a 6" will feel awful. My vote would be something like the Hankook RS-2 great tyre great value! Period!

cheers for the help guys but i am looking for some tyres around the same price as the t1rs and pradas. i think i prefer the pradas but have never used either and am torn between the two. which tyres do people think are the best all around between the t1rs and the praa spec 2s ?

cheers

er... did you not read any of the comments? pretty much everyone said parada's over the T1R's. T1R's are cheap for a reason they're CRAP!

Yoko ad08 expensive but absolutly superb in the dry and not that scary in the wet, very predictable to which is good in a tyre! I paid nearly 400 for 4

aye dont recomend t1r's at all, a got them wth a package deal with the wheels and two of them got fuked due to potholes budging out the sidewalls

two left to wreck then never again lol
