After my 1.5 EK3 was written off a few weeks ago I had my heart set on getting another 1.5, but I checked absolutely everywhere including england/scotland on all the used car websites but couldn't find a clean one to save my life. There were a few but they were all either modded terribly, extremely over priced or else looked shabby.

As soon as this popped up I knew I wanted it straight away as I absolutely LOVED the colour. I was just hoping the paintwork was as good as it looked in the pics and engine was in good nick etc.

I went up the next morning up to Enniskillen to have a look at it armed with cash and luckily the paintwork was immaculate and the engine was solid. It has a full service history until a couple of years ago from 1 lady owner that had it from new in england inc all previous MOT certs. The guy that owned it here had it serviced himself a couple of times and just got new tyres all round and has long MOT on it so went ahead and bought it.

It's a good base to start with as it came with VTI wheels and a nice colour.

The pics aren't the best, these are just the pics taken from the advert and a couple as soon as I got it home.

taking a fancy for a pink one of these for the front and rear too!

I was given 40mm PI lowering springs to tide me over until I was able to get coilovers.. put the front 2 in and it didn't do it any justice at all. Barely even looked lowered!

The unsatisfactory ride-height..

Just a pic of it test fitted.. I love how a splitter can completely transform the front end of a car (Y)

And a couple more! Apologies for the terrible pictures, not even sitting right. It's not held on with anything at all, just managed to get it so it wouldn't fall off without screws.

nice looking car man, good project you got going on! used to have a supersonic ej they stand out really well :))

nice! who does your painting and conversion? am wanting mine done with wire tucked etc but it's gonna cost me an arm and leg :(

Thanks for all the comments guys, appreciated :) I'm excited myself, can't wait to get it back on the road and suspension etc all set up nicely!

A couple of my friends have done all the mechanical work with me helping out a little, I can fit coilovers etc but anything engine wise except fitting an induction kit/changing an exhaust etc and I struggle tbh :p I learnt a hell of a lot helping them out though! I did all the painting myself to the engine and engine bay, it's just time consuming. Took FOREVER so sand down and even still I couldn't get it perfect. All done by hand with sandpaper, didn't have access to any machine sanders. A few bits need touched up from where it was scraped getting engine in but it's a decent enough job and I'm happy with it!

I have had trouble though with places to store the car and do the work and not it's been left down to a local honda specialist mechanic to get a few wee things done and to get everything checked over and finished 100% i.e. oil pressure switch wired into ECU, alternator plug changed, driveshafts need put in and new track rod end, engine flush etc bla bla but all the main stuff is all done and dusted! Only problems have been owing people money and storage basically but it's all sorted now thank goodness, been such a stressful time of my life haha

nice work mate :) that engine bay is bright ;) looking forward to seeing the rest of the updates mate

Sweeet build mate , car looked mint when you go it ;)

All the best with the build

Thanks Kahn and Jordan :) Just got new red BLOX LCA's and a rear wiper delete :)

Wiper delete? You can just use one of the blanking grommits from inside the top of the boot lid. Fits almost perfectly you just need to be careful not to damage it when taking it out.

Looks like the project's going well though mate. Best of luck
