Spoon Stroker Kit questions

I have the spoon Stroker Kit. Come complete with Pistons, Rods, crank, Head Gasket plus I got the ACL bearing to go with it. I did this with a Full Spoon Valvetrain and it was amazing in my EK9 when I had. I mean no DC2 could stand up to me. I was able to Rev Way beyond 9K. Think the Most i went up to was 12,300k and that was like once a week with missed gears and i never blew my motor. the stroker kit along with all the head components are about $2300 USD.

Was that a 2.0 liter? Only 2 piston rings setup?

Can v ouch for Sam and this stroker Kit

i made more power than B20's with this setup and management

Ouch, those prices aren't so friendly any more!

I that it is used if you want higher compression but I wouldn't have a clue.

Just a wider piston not taller so the compression should stay the same, it's really only meant for people who have already bored their engine out before and now have to go for the next size up again when rebuilding.

Wasn't the old price less than £600?

And will Spoon start selling the rocker arms again? I know some people, myself included, who would be interested in them for somewhere near the old price.

Cheers buddy :nice:

£1400 to make it 2L? would that give 200HP?

This is just for the 1800C Stroker Kit, Spoon dont do the 2.0L Stroker kits anymore.

As above, compression ratio will roughly be the same, combustion volume slightly increases due to the extra bore.

Your also right on the price, was anywhere between £600-800, but as mentioned this is when the parts were readily available, etc so unfortunately due to time, etc the price has increased. Understandably the increase is huge, but we had numerous requests for the Stroker Kit again so we asked the question, and I wanted one for myself anyway.

I think this is unlikely, as this wasnt a huge selling part anyway, and will be difficult to match the old price, but I will ask/nag (thats how I got them to start doing the Stroker kit again :naughty:), and let you know!

Any other parts requests?

Regards, Sam

Really, after buying various bits from Honda, the stroker kit isn't that expensive when you think a new pair of headlights is almost £500 and a little plastic clip is almost £2.

People don't ever seem to think of rocker arms when rebuilding an engine, but they get worn and get just as much of a battering as anything else in the engine and they cause headaches when trying to time in aftermarket cams.

just get teg cranck pistons etc and surely just as good as spoon kit is that correct???

Doesn't the Spoon kit use the domed B16b pistons? If you think about how much people spend on wheels, induction kits and the rest of it for negligible gains, I don't think it's very expensive to have BRAND NEW components which do the most important job for the car and the most demanding.

It would be interesting to know the price of the parts straight from Honda though, then at least you could make a comparison of if the price is worth it.

Spoon Sports Europe should definitely put the price difference in their sales spiel!

It's not often that 'Spoon' and 'bargain' are in the same sentence! :wow:

agree 100% again! lol :nice:

Wot are rocker arms btw?

And will Spoon Sports Europe sell the the rocker arms?? Because If/when I buy the stroker kit I would like to renew everythin that I can whilst the engine is apart!:nice:
